I doubt that we would see a whole subline for vehicles. We might get lucky and see one as a out of sub item, but I have a feeling that when this line wraps up we will only have gotten a couple more vehicles at most.

If I had to guess I would say Battle Ram and Roton
It is spelled "Crita", not "Critta". Misspell her name and Crita will knock the "T" out of you!

    Also...get her into the line!

And in addition the FFM would be in great demand if this happened. Imagine people fighting to get their hands on the FFM with sets going for $200+! How funny would that be!

    I know it's a reach. It's just wishful thinking.
I don't how you can say the classics line will ever be complete if you don't have the vehicles.

I would not call it just wishful thinking. You know Mattel has to sell stuff. And they will need to sell something after all the fan-demanded characters are done (hopefully) in 2014 - 2015. I know that Toyguru said that for Mattel it would be easier to put the time/effort/money into lines like Barbie and Hot Wheels and it would generate more money than MOTU. But it is also true that every company tries to expand the variety of their products and MOTUC is part of that expanding. To rely on Barbie and Hot Wheels only - no matter how good it sells - is short sighted and I am sure guys at Mattel know this. ... enter the MOTUC Vehicle Sub!

After the figures are done you could easily have a sub with 3 - 4 vehicles per year. Also the vehicles would vary in size and price which might be interesting to mix through the year. Like I would expect Road Ripper to be cheaper than Blaster Hawk.

A quarterly vehicle sub? That sounds amazing.

I'd be down for a quarterly one too, less strain on my wallet, that and we'd get more freakin vehicles.

This subject has been discussed a few times before, and I believe TG has mentioned it won't work with Mattel's logistics for some reason or another (Probably due to the size variations and tooling costs)...

However, a pre-ordering system similar to the Castle-Grayskull's could be a better alternate solution to our cause, at least Mattel could gauge the demand per vehicle, unlike budgeting for a whole sub per-se...

Part of the strategy for a subscription line is to be able to spread cost across the entire subscription product. For instance maybe there is a fully tooled figure that should cost $50 dollars but you can actually sell him for $30 if in that same year you sell two $15 figures for $25. Even though the total charge to the consumer is the same either way, psychologically things will be more appealing when you're able to keep the higher price down and more flat. Also with the subscription model even if you lose money tooling and designing one figure you'll make it back when the consumer is required to buy other figures that reuse that tooling (thus making the cost of those additional figure cheaper and making the additional figures profitable enough to justify the loss on the first figure.

The thing with vehicles is that there is no real shared tooling and each is a pretty unique design. Thus each vehicle will have a high price tag that won't be decreased by simply offering more vehicles. I think doing the presale or even just a once a year vehicle is a better way to go. The high vehicle price point is psychologically discouraging to most consumers, but they are more likely to take the plunge if they see it as a one time splurge (even if it becomes a yearly splurge) rather than a year round obligation.

Just my two cents. I want vehicles too (although to be honest I want more figures/beasts more). But I don't think a vehicle designated subscription is the way to make this happen.

I wouldn't want them to go crazy…2 to 4 vehicles would be plenty for one year in a sub.

A vehicle sub seems a bit much to handle on top of the regular figure sub (and any potential figure add-on subs). Maybe 1-2 vehicles a year sold on Matty would be fine. I wouldn't count on it, though, considering it took a year for the Wind Raider to sell out.

I think it'd be cool but way too expensive for it to actually work. A lot of people complained about the Foe Men's price and I have to think that vehicles being 100% unique sculpts and much bigger would end up costing about the same as the Foe Men.
Right or wrong, buying a sub tells Mattel you want more MOTUC figures. Not buying does tells them you don't. Don't let MOTUC end early because you might not like their marketing strategy! Plus polls show you won't regret subbing!

One of the true fan minority - happy MOTU fans!

I'm all for it! The vintage vehicles are an integral part of Masters of the Universe. Mattel will need to bring them back to keep our fires going.

Well, especially since the Battle Ram has already been sculpted, I don't see why Mattel can't do a preorder to see how it would go. Don't put any design work into it. Just estimate the time it would take the designers to turn the sculpt into a functioning toy, take a guess at what features would involve/cost, then put up a meter.

It doesn't really seem to be rocket science. Of course, this is the same Mattel who can't design a website that actually lets you buy a product that you have put in your cart...

    I'd be in!

Even just preselling 2-4 vehicles (the max I could see) a year would rock.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

I would want A sub for Snake Mountain first before any vehicle sub but the wait for core basics like Battle Ram and Point Dread are long overdue.
Would like those released asap and then a sub for:

    Roton
    Attack Track
    Blaster Hawk
    Collector

I would be down for it, but we at least need a Battle Ram, if not also a Point Dread and Roton, maybe even Attack Trak.

If the Wind Raider cost $50 when it was in development 2 years ago and it took that long to sell out than I bet any other vehicles would be more expensive because of higher production costs and probably a lower quantity produced. I would definitely buy a vehicle subscription if it was say 4 per year, but I don't think enough people would be on board in addition to Club Eternia.

I don't understand why they don't just put one vehicle in with the regular sub. I would think the Battle Ram would cost about $75. I would have much rather gotten that with my sub than the FFM. Wouldn't everybody? Just keep that $75 dollar slot in next year's sub and make it the Battle Ram.

Ive always wondered about that too, why dont they put a vehicle into that big priced slot..I wont be happy if we dont at least get Battle Ram , Point Dread with mini comic, (we need that all explained) and Attack Track and Roton. I mean producing the figures for these items is just cruel if they dont make them..

    I don't think it would be $75. I'd wager $50, maybe $55.

I wouldn't want it instead of the FFM and would be really PO'd spending that kind of coin on a vehicle. For many people, vehicles and playsets are not essential to their collection. They just want the action figures. I would be one of them.
