As much as i want to support these releases, I can't for the simple fact the Disney company right now is a joke. They hate anything done under Eisner and would gladly throw these old shows into the vault alongide Songs Of The South, but they've not been as profitable with their newer stuff so they throw us a bone and release these DVDs and did the new comics. But then they do them poorly- syndicated cuts missing scenes, little advertising to let people know they're released, canning the comics "for poor sales" and making it hard to actually buy these DVDs.

Look, Disney, I'm sorry if you hate Eisner, but the cartoons that came about under him are some of the best known since the days of Walt Disney himself. It's not our fault that Cars can't hold a candle to the 90s Disney Afternoon. It's not our fault you've had fewer hits, it's not Eisner's fault, it's your own fault for not trying. Either put some effort into reviving those franchises or don't bother with it at all. Considering the effort you put into your own new stuff, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. For every Wreck-It Ralph, you've produced a bunch of forgettable DTV sequels along with it. Pixar seems to be the last actual thing you have anymore. You bought up Marvel and Star Wars, so what? You'll let your own franchises rot in the process?

I'm sorry for that open letter but the current Disney ownership really seems determined to put the least effort into anything produced under Eisner's time as CEO.

I keep hoping Disney will make the Don Rosa award winning "Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" I think it would make a fine animated feature or more since its big enough for more then one.

That's odd, I thought I posted this here, but you can get Gargoyles S2V2 off ebay from Disney's store without having to be a club member.

I got it for $26 shipped.
Can someone PM me the US number for Matty? I want to talk to someone who might has a clue of what is going on.

I saw the DuckTales sets at Wal Mart last weekend... They were 9.99 each.

Really, all 3 volumes that have been released were at Wal Mart at discount prices.
Shouldn't really be a huge surprise... These sets were released between 2005 & 2007.

Why Disney Movie Club would make the Vol.4 and Disney Home Video wouldn't make it?

Probably because sales of at least the last set of DuckTales didn't reach Disney's high standards.

NEW, Wal-Mart Exclusives: Gargoyles, TailSpin, DuckTales, Goof Troop DVDs

I can't find info on this ANYWHERE, but I found the following at Wal-Mart Canada with "Exclusively at Wal-Mart" stickered on them:

    - Gargoyles Season 2 Volume 2 (completes Season 2 of Gargoyles, still missing Season 3)
    - DuckTales the movie
    - TailSpin Volume 3 (finishes off the series)
    - Goof Troop Volume 1, 2 and a Christmas special (not sure how many Goof Troop episodes there were).

I hope they finish off Chip & Dales: Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck! I was so excited when I saw Gargoyles! I know Kim Possible (like this Gargoyles Season set), was a Disney Club exclusive. I really hope all of Kim Possible gets released too. I loved that show.

Most of them are getting a wide release in January in the states at least (they were previously Disney Movie Club exclusives that could also be bought through an ebay store). Maybe, they'll be Wal-Mart exclusives for a few months in the states as well.

The Gargoyles Season 2 Vol. 2 was announced a few weeks ago with a listing on Amazon. I already have these but it's nice they are getting a wide release.

It was reported on a Disney site a frequent that the Gargoyles Season 2 Vol 2 Club set was the highest selling set on Disney Club's Ebay store. Hopefully this will generate some interest in Disney for a Season 3 set down the road.

    Dont be sorry nike

I'm sure is going to be released by the end of november, early 2015 at least.
The MOD' system in the US is a smart service done by the studios for the fans in order to disincentivate illegal download and all those rights issues.
I bet Walt Disney has nothing to lose and you'll complete your collection

Is Talespin volume 2 also scheduled to be released via MOD too?
"The most powerful man in the universe..."
    "Where hope seems lost..."
"I was summoned on the future..."
"A hero shall emerge to protect Eternia..."
    Whats next ?

I just got Duktales: The Movie from Walmart for $10. The quality was pretty good. They also had Talespin Volume 3, which won't be available anywhere else until February. I'm still waiting for the complete series of Quack Pack to get released.

I remember Greg Weisman made a comment a few months ago about Disney asking him if he'd be interested in doing an interview for a "Gargoyles DVD release." He of course, turned them down but it's not known if it was supposed to be for the S2v2 retail release or for a future release like a season 3 set.

Another rumor, is that Disney may try to really screw fans over and do deluxe Full Season sets of some of the afternoon shows instead of releasing the missing seasons sets that fans are missing. This way they can force fans to buy the same episodes they already bought in the season sets all over again just to get the episodes they are missing. This is all rumor at this point but it sounds like something Disney would do.

Most companies though at least still release the season sets and the full series set.

Can you name me a show that has done this? I'm not doubting you, I'd just like to know which shows got shafted.

I would be surprise if they went to the trouble to release series sets but that would be better then nothing plus maybe they will release the episodes in the proper order.

    Does anyone remember Fluppy Dogs?
