    Castle Grayskull metal plate ecthing

Hi there, not posted anything in here for a while.
I just finished my first metal plate etching, I etched the picture into a specially treated and waxed metal sheet, and then to create tone it was aquatinted and briefly acid dipped before being inked and printed. It was a very long process but I am very happy with the result, I was hoping to create a dark tone and a sense of atmosphere. I wish I had time to do Snake Mountain!

And here's a version that I coloured in Photoshop:

Edit: Aw, there's a typo in my title, could a mod change it to 'etching' please?

    Fantastic!
Where are they? Where are your friends now? Tell me about the loneliess of good, He-Man. Is it equal to the loneliness of evil?

That's awesome. I would proudly hang that on my wall for all to see. I do prefer the uncolored version though, it looks more foreboding and dreary (which is good) in that one.

How big is the metal plate?

Thanks guys! Just seen this is fanart of the week on the main page, awesome!

Brad2bone: I don't have the plate near to measure but it is roughly A3 size (16 x 12 inches or so).
I only got one good print from it which I promised to a friend, was hoping to print many more but don't have access to the print studio at the moment.

I made an animated GIF of the castle in a storm:
