    Answers to WTFWTK 2.101!

Mattel has once again provided answers to your questions.
Thanks again to them for taking the time to answer these!
Check out their answers to your Round 101 questions!

This round of questions were selected by facet.
Thanks to that fan for their help!

    1. facet: Who are the 2 snakemen on page 2/3 of the third new mini-comic, directly to the right of Blast-Attak?

Directly to the right of Blast Attak is Modulok, Snake Mek A Neck, Squeeze and Fang-or.

    2. Niki: The original two vintage Comet Warriors who were chosen to be the SDCC 2013 MOTUC exclusive have opened up another new fraction with in MOTUC. In the mini-comic "Escape From The Slime Pit" two others were featured. A yellow/orange/pink female and a green/silver/blue male. What are their names?

    Pebblass and Bould-or

    3. Shokoti's Slave: How is it possible for Teela to become both the Queen of Eternia as well as the new Sorceress of Grayskull?

Her mother had to sever all ties like relationships in order to protect the power inside of Grayskull. How can Teela not have to do the same? She can't exactly protect Grayskull from the Royal Palace. Castle Grayskull no longer exists by the time Teela is Queen.

    4. King Tamusk: You've said before that Eldor is special, because he was a prototype and not a concept character. And you've already released He-Ro and the Star Sisters which are other prototypes. What is the importance of remaining prototype characters like Evil Robot, Darius, and Mara? Are they characters we will see in 2014/2015, or are they ones that will likely be held until 2016?

These are all characters we'd like to get to and they do take a bit more priority over more obscure characters like Illumina or Crimson Fury. Time will tell if we can get them into the toy line!

    5. jibernish: Can you tell us about the decision making process that went into making Teela so sexually provocative looking in the new DC Comics? Was it Mattel's idea or DC's idea? Was it approved? Teela has never had super powers like many MOTU characters. Her formidability comes from her inner strength and iron will. Seeing her dress this way, especially to go into battle, is in direct opposition to one of her most prominent character traits. It's an especially interesting decision given that He-Man, a warrior with exponentially greater physical powers and less need for body armor, has been sheathed head to toe in armor.

You would need to ask DC about this. The team behind MOTUC is only working on the Classics toy line. The MOTU comic is an initiative from DC and their interpretation of the MOTU universe. We can’t comment on aspects of the franchise outside of the toy line in these sessions.

    1. facet: Who are the 2 snakemen on page 2/3 of the third new mini-comic, directly to the right of Blast-Attak?

Directly to the right of Blast Attak is Modulok, Snake Mek A Neck, Squeeze and Fang-or.
That's not Blast Attak, Scott. That's Dragstor. Blast Attak is to the right of Gygor in that picture.

    Pebblass and Bould-or
Ugh...The more Scott makes up these names, the more we get taken for the Pebblass.

Sorceress is dead. Stratos is dead, Hordak is dead, ALL of the Snake Men are dead, Man-At-Arms...dead. And now, Castle Grayskull no longer exists. I think Scott wants to wipe clean anything involving vintage MOTU in favor of his own "Son of He-Man" fan fiction.

I'm so sick of vague answers. They know the plan for the next two years. They've been saying they know for a while now. How hard is it to look at the list and say, "They are not on the production list during 2014/2015" Or, "Yes, we will be getting to them at some point in the "allstar" years." They've already implied other characters will make it into the subs of 2014 and 2015, like Two-Bad and Scorpia. If they can do that, why can't they do the same for other characters? They don't have to say what month or even what year, but it is nice to know if they are indeed planned.

    5. jibernish: Can you tell us about the decision making process that went into making Teela so sexually provocative looking in the new DC Comics?

Interesting, because in a different question, they say..."While Mattel helped with the designs and provided input, these are DC created looks for the characters for the DC storyline and cannon." So, which is it...Is Mattel involved or not? According to one artist..."I usually do a few versions and send it out to Mattel and get a cool redraw from one of their supremely talented designers or artists that ties up where I was trying to go with the design. They make it all "MotU" for me." He continues to say, "I don't know for sure but I'd assume Mattel, since it's their property. Now, I have to state that I'm kind of a spectator as well since I only draw the book and have no real input with the story or much of the designs but I know those guys at Mattel are very brilliant and disgustingly talented."

I find it funny that neither Mattel nor the artists or writers want to take credit for the redesigns.

OK, I am not exactly sure if all the answers were jokes or not, but I am glad that they seem to be distancing themselves from DC Teela.

Well according to the bios, Adam tapped into both the power of the Universe and the wisdom of the Elders during his New Adventures, so it seems to me both he and Adora are the ultimate fulfillment of the prophecy and Grayskull is no longer needed to house the power because the twins contain it. Granted, this is just speculation on my part.

See, this is what I think as well. Folks should try to think things through a bit rather than get very knee-jerk emotional about statements like "Castle Grayskull no longer exists." Instead of wondering why or trying to figure it out, all of a sudden it's "Off with Scott's head!!!" instead... LOL.

I nearly spat me tea over my keyboard when I read Pebblass and Bould-Or!! i love it.

The thing about CG not existing during Queen Teela's reign is a bit confusing. I always assumed that Teela would become the Sorceress AND Queen y'know like Veena and stay in CG.

Maybe Eternia and the 3 towers is the new CG?

    I dunno...

Yeah... by the time Teela is queen, I suppose the new castle is called "Castle Spector".

Oh... and hooray for Pee Blast and Crappor !

By the way... Bolder (boulder) was the name of the Rock Lords' heroic leader.

so if there is no CG why do we need a Sorceress (who's job it was to protect CG)???

I'm not going to go up in arms, my feelings toward's Scott's fiction is well documented. This just keeps solidifying how I feel. I find it funny how he kills important things off before they come out as toys (beings from eternia's past don't count though, they were dead during the current story) Sure you can argue that the telling of this story is all past tense but that will just add to justify my feelings on Scott's writing and the format. the bio format is a TERRIBLE vehicle to tell a narrative. it should be nothing but a blurb about a character's personality and powers.

DC Comic Mekaneck turned into a villain who destroys all Castle Grayskulls in the multiverse as retaliation for Teela's behavior.

Yeah right. Words can not express how extremely stupid this move is.
    183434_166560253393289_119617241420924_308971_1486864_n.jpg

    I try anyway:
    EXTERMINATE.......EXTERMINATE
Wipe away everything that stands for Motu. Kill off beloved Charakters, destroy THE symbol of the entire franchise. Why not kill MotU entirely

I hope Mr Toyguru has an ace up his sleeve for his upcoming "Dare storyline" or there will be nothing left on eternia to fight for. The Masters: gone, Grayskull: destroyed, starship Eternia on Primus or most likely destroyed (crashlanded by Mara, or something stupid like that)...

Picture this: Dare, alone in the woods, enemies approaching. By the Power of....of...ehh...awww...by the power of.....
Snap....off with the Head. Skeleteen wins
