    Laser power restoration

    Hi my friends,
i'm starting this 3D, hoping to complete one day :P, with a work in progress. My intention is to restore /customize a LASER POWER HE-MAN!!!! YEAH!
I've found on the web a base figure at about 25$, obviously It's a little bit battered but better than nothing
    Here we go! !!!!

    • Let's start swapping head, 'cause this is too little for this body, We'll make the MADE IN SPAIN standard! This head will be use in the future for the New Adventure He Man.
After put our hero in a warm water bath, we'll softly the tear off the head. Using the Dremel we'll make the head hole on torso wider. Then we can install the new head.

we start with the sanding step, before cleaning with mild soap and toothbrush (the one you usually take for the everyday tooth care :P) ... and then when ready take acrylics and a nice new brush!

To prepare the colours mixing them on a nice piece of plastic new and clean (otherwise the brush takes dirt)
you can just use the cap of ice cream bowl (clean).

    • For the boots I used a "Iron Blue
I've desaturated the blue with a pinch of black and a bit of dark blue and some apple green.

    • For the silver parts, i've prepared with a white background, which acts as a primer and as background colour.

    • On the hair I made a basic yellow

I recommend, when the work is finished to clean the brushes and place them well in a dry cloth or at least to head up them to prevent the bristles get damaged.

Fortunately, today it is hot and I can apply a second color coat.

I did a search on the web and I noticed the head is in a lighter yellow, so i've put 2 coats of canary yellow on the hair.
Even the boots are a little bit different, so i've put a mix of Iron Blue and Apple green to make the color Closest to Loincloth-

... silver step , give it very diluited because silver easily lumps .... probably it needs of one more colour layer, than the other colours. Is important to paint when the first layer is completely dry!

... after finishing with the color, i've put the transparent protective paint.

--- FOLLOW 'THE SECOND PART WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF ARMOR AND SWORD -----
    .... STAY TUNED!

    Transparent Paint

    Final Step after cleaning

    "YEAH!"

man, this is AWESOME! Incredible dedication (and I cannot believe you got one, let alone one in that condition!) If I had that same Laser HeMan, I'd be doing the same thing, believe me!

Keep us updated on those weapons! The figure looks so beautiful!

A friend suggest me to change the sword design with a custom one.
I've realized a new sword, inspiring from the Empyrean Sword, obviously in laser light version.
Here you are the Laser Storm Sword.

Amazing work, can't wait to see the finished product, although I personally would have kept the Dolph head .
Hey, if you want to wallow in the negative, go nuts. Sure, things aren’t absolutely perfect, and people passionate about a property can get all keyed up about things. But I don’t collect toys to be miserable. So I’d rather think about the things that do excite me

Umm..., you might have a problem and want to talk to someone about all those heads. Just kidding.

I've always been curious what he would look like with a standard head. Can't wait to see how it turns out, keep it up!

Do you have a 3D printer, or are you going to use Shapeways?

I just bought another one, so when I'll have them completed, you'll see them together.
I'll send to Shapeways the files. They are pretty fast and cheap. Now there's the new Elasto Plastic material for harness
i wish the Elasto Plastic in hi-res, eehhe a lot of harness to do eheheh
Here in Italy printing 3D, costs for three times more than Shapeways :O

Thnx a lot for visiting my friends!

    Hi my friends,
i'm going to complete this project. the "switch works", i need to place it, in the right position in the armor, so that it works when you lift up the arm with his sword.
When everything is complete i'll pass, to the resin casts in the original blue.
[B] What do you think about? [/ B]
