awesome find! Can you confirm if those have the inner peg under the head?

Thanks! I've been trying to keep track of where folks are finding these originally. Still have to fill in Wisconsin.

There was a Wonder Bread store in my town and I remember seeing ads for this figure. I never did get it, but I remember not really wanting it. I can't exactly remember what the ad looked like but they had it taped on the front counter when checking out. I seem to recall a sticker or card in the bread too if I'm not mistaken. Maybe a baseball card size deal. I might just be remembering trading cards though.

From what you have, it appears to be a Northeast deal only.

Got mine from a guy in Washington State. Said he got it when he was a kid. He also stated that he had lived in the Seattle area when he got it. Also said it was a mail away or from a radio station give away.

No. Sorry, GJM679, but you really need to check out Jii Dee's youtube video where he explains what extremely little we know of Savage WB He-man.

    Which amounts to virtually nothing...

Congrats dude! I always wanted to find something valuable at a flea market, but I'm too lazy to go out on treasure hunts...

I don't believe I had him as a child. My cousins had a MASSIVE MOTU collection, but I don't remember if they had him or not. I only remember being crazy jealous of how much they had. They sold some stuff to us and I *HAD* to have Orko. I was entranced by his figure.

At one point, I had every vintage MOTU item released in Canada. I never heard of Savage He-Man until years later. The only mail away promo I ever saw was for a King Randor figure.

In 1986, Mattel introduced the Princess of Power Mystery Doll promotion. For each Princess of Power doll UPC, one would receive a 1985 production error Princess of Power doll free by mail.

Perhaps the Savage or “Mystery He-Man” is a 1982 production error He-Man released by Mattel through a similar mail away promotion.

Where did you read about getting a production error figure? I've never heard that before.

It sounds more than weird that Mattel gives a way error figures.

+ Like many have said, these figures are not from Mattel. We would already find out some tracks/ info. Not saying they aren't from Mattel's factory.
