    Standor Discussion Thread

Well... do you remember that mask full of glitter that we saw a long time ago?
We finally discovered the owner... Standor...

The armor is great, the body is nothin' new but the head is too campy with the glasses!
Well! We're lucky! You can remove the mask and the sunglasses...
And guess what? I like it! The name is lame but what we got is hot!
    And the figure is fascinatin'...
It's like Man-At-Arms mixed with Eldor mixed with a cosmic enforcer with a MOTU 1987 movie flavor....

Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass PAAAAASSSSSS !

The mask is cool, though, and... is it just me, or do I get some kind of MOTU 1987 movie vibe from this armor !?

If only he had a head that didn't have those glasses he'd almost be kind of like a new character...if I squint hard. Sigh. I'm think I'm bummed about Masque still.

Standar looks like he better belongs in the Ghostbusters line.

Stan Lee is awesome, but this figure isn't. It doesn't fit Masters of the Universe!

I think he looks pretty cool! I like having new characters in the line. So is this the Stan Lee tribute figure? I don't see anything "Stan Lee" about it.

Edit: oh, I didn't notice the glasses... Huh. Well that's....interesting.

Yeah the body and armor are pretty sweet, that head though is complete loss. Sky High's head on that body might be pretty cool.

Interesting looking figure, but not great. Still beats the heck out of Plundor...

We're are lucky! The glasses are removable! Take a look at the first post!

I like him. A agree the glasses look a little out of place, but I like his armor and colors.
Right or wrong, buying a sub tells Mattel you want more MOTUC figures. Not buying does tells them you don't. Don't let MOTUC end early because you might not like their marketing strategy! Plus polls show you won't regret subbing!

One of the true fan minority - happy MOTU fans!

As far as a figure of Stan Lee goes, it's really not all that bad, and fits well enough into MOTUC in my opinion. He can be some goofy wizard guy.

Ah well that's better! Still kind of a goofy smile going on there, but not so goofy as with actual glasses (I can say that because I wear them myself).

Stan Lee is cool. The figure is cool. But the figure needs a new head and not to be Stan Lee...

I thought the idea of a Stan Lee figure was silly...

But I LOVE the look of this guy! I think he's actually really cool. I won't be displaying him with his glasses, probably. But it's a cool "older character" head sculpt.

Hmmm. The figure's kinda cool, ish, but the face sculpt is waaay too realistic for MOTUC.
If the helmet thing is removable it'd be good to use another head with it, not sure who though, Keldor? Or a Zodac head painted might look good.

I don't understand the reason for this figure's existance... I know they have some new partnership with his company... but what does that partnership mean?
Why is he in MOTU when he has nothing to do with the brand? Can anyone explain the details behind this?

Edit: Facially he looks a little like the movie Man-At-Arms in that new pic!
Anyone got a clear pic of him with the helmet on?

Yeahhh...he's probably gonna hang with the Marvel Legends/Select as a perverted "Beyonder" type character in my collection.

When I saw him I thought the exact thing! To transform him into a sort of a captain of the cosmic enforcer... but when I discovered the real head! Well... it got that movie vibe all over... I don't know why...

Sometime when a figure like this comes out, along with other previous odd balls such a Mo-Lar, I feel like I live in an alternate universe. Like as if somewhere there is another universe where all the figures that get made actually make sense and they all have tight ankles, correct shoulders, and none of them crack apart. That's the real universe. We live in the fake one.
