I actually think the helmet is awesome. Only problem might be (and this is the same problem my design has) that for a battering ram, the horns might lack strength (depending what they're made of, I'm only assuming it's bone but I might be wrong)

As a design is so clean and beautiful though. Love it.
Well that is the beauty of giving him the "Ram Stone" (actually I am surprised nobody else has). If you recall it from the MYP toon, Skeletor uses it to attack Grayskull due to it's mystical ability to smash through any barrier, including the force field that surrounds Grayskull.

Well in my Ram Man redesign the Stone creates a magical aura around Ram Man which means he could be wearing a helmet made of glass and he could still smash through things without breaking it due to the magical aura acting like a force field.

In fact he doesn't even have to use his head in my redesign. The way I see it, the Ram Stone (when activated) gives him a similar power to Juggernaut from Marvel, meaning that once he starts moving there is almost nothing that can stop him, so he can just run through barriers.

wow, this is one of the most interesting challenge.

zargon: the "basher" approach to the character is really cool, well done!

jafari: your style is always nice to look at, and i really enjoyed how you incorporated
    the mask/goggles from the concept.

seraphyn: wow, really awesome take on rammy...looking forward to see him completed.

wolfsfang: wonderful, wonderful idea and really cool realization: totally lovin' it!

pyre: very powerful looking character...the rendition of the armored boots/hooves is
    really cool.

ps: is it possible to add the version of ram man by mark texeira, in the first post?
it's my favourite "official" version of the character...

    _____________________________

so, here's my modest contribution to the challenge.
it's intended to be a sort of homage to one of his
"ancestors": custar, the rhino man from the P&H
    catalogue...hence the uncommon color
    scheme.

Thank you my friend I'll take that compliment! I think both gbagok & I are influenced strongly by animation influences, perhaps from different sources of inspiration, but I am proud of that comparison so thank you & I am glad you are still continuing the redesign tradition!

Oh, you have made interesting entries. Some feedback or personal opinions:

Zargon: very creative. But he could fall under domination of Beastman.
JafariStew: this reminds me about MOTU movie. If Rammy would be in film, he could looked like that.
Seraphyn: that's an axe! Far better than little toy he has as a figure.
Pyre: picture is cool, but somehow he reminds too much Rotar for my taste. Just change colors and he could make cool new version of Energy Zoid.
Charlie: with those bright colors he's like star player from fields of Blood Bowl!
Techtrek: try to add some personality to his face when coloring this one. Or is he now more lonely rider than a friendly face?
Wolfsfang: this one is almost impossible to beat. My favorite, really wonderful consept.

I kept him just like old Rammy but with some new gadgets:

Thanks a lot, tho I am sure someone like gbagok or others could beat it, we just have to wait and see what (if anything) they bring to the table

Oh and Steampunk Rammy. I love it

    Ram-Man

Here's my submission. I kinda went with a darker approach, before Ram-Man became part of the Masters. I mashed him with Bane. So before he met He-Man he was addicted to a powerful elixir that gave him courage and he became a monster, but with He-Man's help he found his own courage and gave the elixir up. Meh... Something I thought would be cool. But anyway Enjoy.

    I like it.

Tho it reminds me more of Juggernaut (specifically the movie version from The Last Stand) then Bane.

    Wow, great stuff guys.

Wolfi yours is my favorite so far. I really like the Ram Stone idea!

My approach is something completely different:

I always wondered why he looked so different from the rest of the Masters. And there is one mini comics he looks quite young and i always liked that.

So my version is more like a vintage design with furry green loincloth and similar boots like the others. I always remembered his vintage arms were massive but not as bodybuilder like the others, so i stayed away from veins or definition but kept his arms and legs as tree trunk-ish as i could.
His face is very boyish almost cute.

Rammy for me is this huge gentle giant who is able to destroy anything which crosses his path but has that childish innocent within him a naivety which leads him into trouble sometimes but in the end everyone knows you can trust him and he will never let you down.

kinda ran out of time on this one I quite like it but I really rushed the colouring.

    Still, whatever RAM MAN!

no particular change of bio on this one. Just took him down a more Mecha-Roman-Medieval alley

I really like your design sensibilities, Seraphyn. The only thing that throws it off, for me, is the ram horns. I like the design as a whole though, very detailed and cool.

Cheers guys yeah.. I almost got rid of the horns as it does unbalance the top end slightly... But I think they fit the overall design in the end

I completely agree that it fits, and when you think about "ramman" as someone who doesn't know MOTU, they would point and say "that guy"

so I am glad you kept them.
