LOL My tweet was not very diplomatic but for that reason it was answered.

I don't understand they continue rewriting a script that apparently is great.

Right, we need to bug him now.

Seriously, though, it’s actually a very good thing that you’ve got someone within the actual studio itself who is plugging for the film. That’s what led to MOTU’s collapse at WB. No one within WB actually cared for MOTU, and so, it died. It’s good that Devon Franklin clearly does care for it. Also good that he’s been promoted now. He basically has a very loud voice now as to what films get made. So it’s good to have him on side.

Well, that's the thing. There's obviously something about it the studio isn't pleased with. Could be any number of things.

yeah it could be they want more action/less action, more/less comedy/drama etc. seems they like the plot and tone but it needs punching up.

It's really time for this move to start happening. We've seen so many 70s and 80s properties get the movie treatment in the past 10 years or so......Smurfs, GI Joe, A-Team, Transformers, Iron Man, X-Men, Speed Racer, TMNT, Spiderman....all with varying success or failure both financially and artistically. Whether it's going to sink or swim in those areas, it needs to at least be given the chance to do it. I would really like to see MOTU recognized in a global scale again, and hopefully regain wide popularity (which would hopefully fuel the MOTUC line to keep going for several more years!)

I was really hoping for some news at SDCC. I don't get what's the problem with making this movie. It shouldn't be this difficult to make compared to other movies like Avatar or the Hobbit. Sony need to sac up and go for it. No more BS just do what feels right.

I would have hoped at this stage of the game that they would have that decided already, still good to receive some info from an insider.

It is good to hear someone high up in the studio system seems to be so heavily involved. As I’ve said before it is very good for the film to have someone within the studio itself on its side.

Show. Don't tell. Until I see a MOTU movie in active production anything I hear is still largely just talk.

Actually hearing they're trying to include Orko is encouraging.

I'm sure there are worse characters and that you'll probably find them in the 1980's movie.

Though honestly I think Orko can work just as long as they don't go the Scooby Doo comic relief nonsense route (and no talking Cringer/Battlecat either).

The first Thor movie however is uncomfortably comparable to the 1980's He-man movie and the last thing I or a lot of fans want to see is another Earth based story. Leave Earth out of it this time (especially when it comes to Marlena *facepalm* Glenn).

I agree ,not Earth. when I say Thor I don't mean exactly the Earth, I think on Asgard, the costumes, the setting, the tone.

I see these pics and I see that is the way for motu .http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...-dark-world%2F

"Serious but also extremely fun" that sentence is to analyze.Lol

Basically, a summer blockbuster feel. The right move, IMO. I know a lot would rather a dramatic LOTR-esque epic, but I personally think MOTU is tailor-made to follow the “summer blockbuster” formula.
