Yes, yes they do. How much space do you need with them? Do you have to stake them?

Okra grow to be about 5-8 feet tall. It isn't very wide, but can be really tall. No, I don't have to stake them, but I do have to wear long sleeves because I break out when I pick it if I don't.
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

All of those veggies look delicious. I seriously have a craving for a large fresh garden salad right now. Damn....you do great work in your garden. Congrats on your state fair results as well.

Thanks for the kind words. If you lived closer then I would hook you up with some fresh veggies.

I wouldn't say all, but I know a lot of people that do. It is just itchy and causes skin irritation that normally goes away within a few hours. Both my parents used to break out so they started wearing long sleeves and gloves. When I was younger it didn't bother me, but the older I get the more the leaves irritate my skin so now I try to cover up also.

But again, it is somewhat mild so I wouldn't let it keep you from growing Okra if you have the chance. It might not even both your skin at all.
