    Thanks,as a headshot wasn't sure how it would turn out. But filmation teela has very distinct weird hairstyle,so the artist did a great job.

    It basically just means 'pretty girl', a lot of people like this style, as the characters are usually all very beautiful (along with Bishōnen ie the guys). Companies like Clamp in Japan were big promoters of the style, pretty much most of their works, such as Card Captor Sakura (aka Cardcaptors) for example, uses this style of artwork.
