Hordak by Jukka [after Bruce Timm]

I noticed that I haven't posted any art here in a long while. Been busy with commissions and
some illustration-work (that will get published soon) and will post those once they are finished.

Here is a bit of an older artwork I'm not sure everyone has seen.

Hordak - The Ruthless Leader of the Evil Horde
Art done with Copic Markers on a 6,3''x6,7'' cardstock.

Inspiration: "What if Bruce Timm illustrated MOTU Box-Art"
(I know he has done some, but would have liked more naturally)

    Here's the finished piece.

And here is a photo of it before colors. The hand holding it belongs to my lovely girlfriend.

Great work, Jukka!! You really captured the vintage look, not only with Timm's lines but the coloring as well!

Nice work! It's tricky working with COPICS but you did a great job blending the colours on Hordak

It was a fun test working on the Copic Markers. Especially looking at the colorings in Timm's art.

Copics are indeed tricky. And on a cardstock especially. But after trial and error I got it looking mostly how I wanted.

LOL the rocks were a mish-mash of stuff. Was trying hard not to muddy it up. Results are so-so. haha.

Looks amazing. I'd love to work with Copic's but the price is a big barrier.

The ciao-versions are cheapest, and you can simply get "gray-tones" set (warm or cool) to test how it feels in your hands and
    works.

Appreciate it. I wanted to convey the oldskool feel with using traditional color-methods. Since mostly I've done colors on computer.

Wow. Even the idea sounds like a great honor. All credit to the awesome-style of Timm.
