MOTU Classics Stackable Figure Stands Review by Pixel Dan

Stackable Stands! Here's how they turned out. Not really for me, but perhaps some will enjoy.

Not for me, just get the ones for spices and whatnot.

They sell them in the kitchen supply areas

I'm just annoyed they did these instead of continuing the themed stands...we have Grayskull and Snake Mountain stands, I would have loved Whispering Woods stands for the She-Ra characters. Sigh...

These are 'okay', but I agree Dan Matty still needs a better back to the drawing board design before I'm buying these. The pegs on the originals were annoying and tended to pop off or the ends splay apart, and as Dan said wasn't doing any favors to the figures with weak ankles. I genuinely applaud the thinking in wanting to give the collector options, but these need a better engineering period.

Thanks for the review Dan!! Can you please measure them for us? I'm curious how wide and deep they are. I have a cool display cabinet but dont know if these would fit or be too small to put in the cabinet. Thanks for your time!!!

Hmmm...I think I'll stick to my primitive way of displaying the figures with VHS tapes! It works! They stay steady making a little staircase!

The demand for these came from the amazing tier stand system they gave WWE . Just a bit small for MOTUC but the tier system is amazing and low cost . How did they completely screw it up? Dan can you see if the motuc stand can sit atop the wwe tiered?

not likely with the size difference. Ah well

It looks to me like they don't really do what they're supposed to unless you have 2-3 sets. However, they are Grayskull colored, so even without giving height, they're not a bad little set.

They're not bad but such a wasted opportunity to do something really cool. They could have made these to look like extensions of Grayskull with some really cool ways to configure them. Some small broken wall pieces (like from the original stands) and maybe a tower torrent add on to put over one of the squares. Since I have long shelves ill probably pick up enough sets for my heroic warriors.

Hey Dan. What is the length on 1 of those stands? I might try them in my Detolf case for my vintage figures. Thanks

Yeah I'm not feeling these stands either. I would like to see the WWE styled stands, or like Dan said bleachers. Do we have a price tag on these?

I'll probably grab a set or two, but only for use as diorama filler. I like my kitchen spices stairway system!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

I was really anxious to get these but after seeing the review I can easily pass on them. I'll just stick to making my own...

As mentioned before, these are Terrible and have less than 1/2 the functionality of the WWE figure stands. See Dan's review of those awesome stands here.

Thank you for an unbiased, informative, and thorough review. It doesn't look like Mattel will ever produce a decent set of stands for this line.

One stand measures 12" in length. The lower podiums stand 1" high, the middle podium stands 2" high.

I'll pick some up to lay across the back of my shelves, but not as many as I first thought. Well, depending on the price. I suspect these are going to be like $15 for a set of three, which is pretty much a rip-off. Looking at them, I can't see how they're worth more than ten bucks a pack, if that.

You my friend, just cost Mattel stand sales from me

I had quite a few old VHS tapes destined for a upcoming yard sale, and made use of them for my display Thanks for the idea!
It is spelled "Crita", not "Critta". Misspell her name and Crita will knock the "T" out of you!

    Also...get her into the line!
