Today's update: got the rough sculpt done for the front end, and added in the iron cross to the center of the rear wheels (thought it was a nice touch)
I'm not 100% sticking to the original details For instance, I added vents to 1 side of the head. I figured with all those electronics in there, they need to stay cool! The detail work is taking longer than I hoped, but maybe my next update will be a completed painted ready-to-cast toy we'll see!IMG_2113.jpgIMG_2115.jpgIMG_2117.jpg

Congratulations. This thing is impressive. Is this the cast piece? How many individual pieces need to be cast to make one ripper? Other than a few missing details and paint apps, this is Very close to official release quality. Congratulations again!

darlmoon766-Yes, this is the fully cast piece. It is 11 individual parts before assembly. I didn't want to make it a 100% "copy" to all the original details, I did some mock up details on my original before I finished everything, and because I was doing all the decals in 3 dimension, it looked too busy. The front end on the vintage one has quite a few decals on the front, I wanted the front to have a smooth look, more aerodynamic.
And thank you for the kind words!
