    Striped tail battlecat??

How rare are these. I want one after seeing photos of one having a striped tail and stripes across his back. Do any of you have one. I can't find one.

Another photo showing stripes across his back, and a regular one like all of mine on top.

It is the first edition of Battle Cat,
Tokyonever has one, and those photos are of another one...I never saw picture of the third.

Is there a spot to find all the battlecats variants? Some on eBay have pale orange stripes, some have yellow, some have super bright orange stripes?? ..... How many battlecats are there?

Here is my humble colelction of Battle Cats.

The reason why is 1976 printed on the early releasesis because the mold was taken from mattel Big Jim tiger from the 70's. The same case with Screech and Zoar Taiwan, both marked 1972, because they were using mold from Big Jim eagle.

There are at least five Taiwan versions... probably the only battle Cat which came from two molds with different year marks.

    1. the first one, Taiwan 1976 stripped tail and orange lips and white dots in the eyes with extremely small number of figures...based on conversation from the link above, we know only for two of them.

    2. the early release of Battle Cat is Taiwan 1976 with white dots in the eyes, like mine on that picture.

    3. Taiwan 1978 also with white dots in the eyes.

    4. then Taiwan 1982 from the new mold, but with the same colors as previous three (orange stripes and bright green body), but without white dots in the eyes.

    5. then Taiwan 1983 again from the new mold, but with the same colors as previous four (orange stripes and bright green body), but without white dots in the eyes.

    6. Taiwan 1983 with yellow stripes and dark green body(the one from my photo) which was sold with Battle Armor He-Man.

But also there are made in Mexico (USA release), Malaysia, France, Spain, India (LEO), Brazil (ESTRELA), Venezuela (ROTOPLAST), Argentina (TOP TOYS), Mexico (LOS AMOS - Mexican release), maybe even Italy (but not sure for that one).

LEO INDIA is recognizable by the nasal horn on the helmet, and unique eye paint

and FRANCE variant has sculpted large eyes, painted black
