    What's your favorite winter activity?

With winter upon us, I thought it would be fun to see what's the single favorite thing orgers do to pleasantly pass the time during this snowy -- for many of us, at least -- season. Yeah, yeah. Me, too. But remember we're not in The Tar Swamp, so let's keep it G-rated.

Hunting Mountain Lions. No really, that is what my family does.
Mattel needs to make an MOTU equivalent to Skylanders. It would create a new generation of MOTU fans.

I like to sleep. I sleep less in the summer because there's more daylight and warmer temperatures.

I'm starting to suspect that Phil might actually be a bear.

Winter doesn't exist here, so I can ride my motorcycle all year round!

I'm a heavy sleeper, but it's more apparent when it's cold. It's a great thing, man; nothing bad can happen to you (unless you wet your bed..)

Believe it or not -- watching 80's cartoons! Snow days were great as a kid since you could watch ALL the cartoons in the morning, and not just the ones you could catch before getting on the bus. With the different UHF stations in the area, you could watch an episode of He-man, GI Joe, Transformers, etc. like 3 or 4 times in one day (counting the afternoon showing of the same shows). No wonder they became such a part of our identity!

I enjoy reading. When it's cold out I don't have to feel guilty about not doing yard work. But I was out raking leaves yesterday. It was so beautiful! It was still cold, but nice and sunny. My daffodils and bluebells are coming up too.

Here in the UK we have a winter tradition of small community theatre called pantomime. Is very light hearted fun slap stick re telling of famous children's stories.

They are normally performed anywhere inbetween the start of December and the end of February. People from all walks of life get involved. Not necessarly the types who want to act in plays and musicals. It's very much it's own kind of beast and loads of fun.

The group in my village has been going for over 30 years with the local Dr, vicar, many teachers and other members of the community being involved either on stage or behind the stage. It's a local highlight during the year, the whole community gets involved. It brings a good bit of fun and excitement to what is normally a very dark and boring time of the year over here!

It is also a good time for me to catch up on reading some of the books that have just been collecting dust. Once spring and summer hit, I have very little time for reading and watching tv due to yardwork and gardening.

    Winter, what Winter?

Here in Texas it gets a little cold, but Winter it is not. Usually no snow and when (and if) we actually get some it doesn't amount to much and is usally gone the next day.

So I don't really have Winter, not like I used to in Kansas & Colorado....

Watching people shoveling snow on the TV. Then putting on my shorts and flip flops, sitting on my back porch, drinking coffee and watching my cat eat grass. All in 75 degree weather here in AZ.
