What has been your favorite year thus far?

Okay, 2014 has started with a bang!

Personally I am looking forward to every figure that has been revealed so far in 2014.

But I know that many fans feel that the best has already come and gone, while others think that it can only get better!

So the question is this: What has been your favorite year of MOTU Classics thus far?

Was your favorite character already released years ago? Did you like it when the quarterly figs were introduced? The "original" reissues? Vehicles? Exclusives? Tell us!!

2012 was my favorite so far honestly. The line up was awesome, costs were more reasonable, and there was less doom and gloom.

    This is so difficult.

2014 is going to be my favorite year.

    However, 2012 & 2013 tie, or 2013 edges out just a little

It's a toss up between 2012 and 2013. 2012 because of some of the heavy hitters we received that year, 2013 for the variety of figs. If I had to go with only one, it'd be 2013.

2014 is shaping up to be a great year, I hope we see lots of POP at NYTF.

2008-2009. The 8-back characters are the most important for me. 2010 already had some characters that I sold later when in 2012 I decided only to keep the characters I care about.

To answer this question I had to think about the percentage of the unwanted figures for every year.
    18% 2008/09
    34% 2013
53% 2014 (based on the already announced figures)
    55% 2010
    60% 2011
    70% 2012

So it's clear the the 2008/9 is my favorite year!

    I totally understand these sentiments!

Even though there were such few figures, it was freakin' MOTU!! And it was the embodiment of everything we wanted in a new-yet-classic line of figures based on the MOTU of old. ( I still get giddy just reminiscing about it... )

While I've enjoyed every year, 2008-2009 was stacked with my favorites. Once Battle Cat hit in '10, we were really cookin'!

I voted 2011 to 2012. Because that sdcc finding out about filmation and shadow weaver being made? And 2012 getting so much cool stuff in Photog. Just alot of great different things, and I love different things. All inclusive all eras. So many supprises. High point in hope and excitement for so many. The crest, I'm afraid.

Though this years NYTF just blew me outta the water.

09 and 10 were my fave years though I have loved them all. Those two seemed the most fresh and exciting for me though.

Honestly, 2014 is my favorite year because of Glimmer alone, but throw in Two-Bad, Rio, Madame Razz, Scorpia, Double Trouble, Kowl/Loo-kee, Blade, Modulok, Light Hope, Entrapta, Eldor, Sweet Bee, and even Hydron, Battle Lion, and Flutterina, and it just puts this year over the edge for me. Definitely 2014 for the win for me, but my second fave is 2009, since there were so many big names that year, and I loved every single character.

Figure for figure, QC, accessories, etc., I have to say 2013 was probably the best year overall.

Fang-Man, Ram-Man, Icer, Batros, Strong-Arm, Shokoti, Spirit of Hordak, Plundor, Jistsu, Snake face, Karatti, Octavia, NA He-Man, Castaspella, Mantenna, Dactyus, Horde Troopers, Nepthu, Sea Hawk, and Strobo.

A few of those figures have become some of my all time favorites in the line (Snake Face, Batros, Icer). Not everyone of those figures in my top ten list, but they are all solid figures and wonderful additions to the line.

2013 was just a wonderful year for filling in holes in the collection by adding vintage figures (Ram Man, Jitsu) and never before released Filmation characters.

It was a dream come true, and one that was no one thought possible 5 years ago.

This year for sure... Two-Bad, Modulok, Glimmer, Hydron, Scorpia, Blade, Flutterina, Extendar, Flogg, NA Skeletor, Rio Blast, Eldor, Madame Razz, Entrapta, Double Trouble, Sweet Bee, Battle Lion, Crystal Castle Man and the overpriced Loo-Kee & Kowl pack... So far only UNO is the less than stellar figure. Sure 2013 had a few knock-outs (Mantenna, Troopers, Dactus) but had a few duds (Plundor, Geldor, Nepthu, the FFM)
FINALLY!! GLIMMER IS IN MY SHELF!! Now who shall I fight for?

2009 for me. There were less figures released but I wanted almost all of them. There were more A-list figures. The figures didn't sell out as fast. They cost less than they do now. It was new so it was more exciting for me. At the time, there weren't that many toys from other toy lines competing for my money.
