    MOTUC Mammoth Marauder

I finally got around to taking some good shots of the MOTUC scale Mammoth Marauder I had on display at Powercon 2013. I really wanted to go outside of my comfort zone and build something huge, and what (other than Granamyr) is bigger than a war elephant? The design is based on the vintage knock-off Mammoth Marauder that was part of the "Robots Lasers and Galaxies" series made by Imperial toys.

The armor is all made of styrene and Magic Sculpt. The chair was made with PVC sheet plastic and detailed with styrene. For the elephant itself, I used a woolly mammoth model kit for the basic shape and volume, and a modified Chap Mei (Animal Planet) elephant head. The Legs are articulated with joints from a NECA Wink, and Legendary Comic Book Heroes MonkeyMan O'Brien feet. The articulate didn't quite work the way I wanted it to, but allows enough movement to adjust the elephant on mildly rough terrain. All the skin texture was sculpted with Magic Sculpt. The helmet is also removable and all the guns and seat are articulated.

At this time, I'm not taking commissions or selling any of my customs. Sorry everyone, I'm just a tease.

it's great to see your works here again, hope to see some new stuff sooner

well done. Give a man an elephant, he can defeat an army. Give a man a battle elephant with sci-fi gear and he can defeat a space army.

This is incredibly cool! The mechanical bits are all so clean and crisp and detailed! The work on the body sounds pretty intensive, so hats off to you, man.
