    Vintage style Battle-Armor Faker

I'm still very new to the whole customizing thing, but what i've done so far has been a lot of fun, and I do have some other plans in the works.

Faker is in my top 5 characters. I'd love to have a Classics BA Faker, but i'm not willing to part with a kidney to fund it, so i'll probably kit-bash one of those. It did, however, inspire me to create a vintage version of the Classics figure.

I had a bunch of rather sad looking odds and ends in a box, one being a vintage BA He-Man and an arms from Adam etc etc, so I cobbled them together and busted out the paints:

Overall pretty pleased with how he turned out. I want to try and get some purple versions of the shield and other accessories, but for now he's got a blue axe. When the weather cools down, he'll get a coat of semi-gloss varnish too (it's too humid to do that right now)

    What do you think?

Edit: The second picture was from my Instagram, and had a filter, here is one without that, it looks less 'grey'

Nice and clean paintwork, the chest design looks really good!
Even after years of being in the custom biz, there are some self proclaimed 'professional customizers' that still do super sloppy paint work, so I would say you are definitely on the right path with your skills. Well done!

Yes I agree with Masterenglish, your paint work is very accurate and good, looking at the chestplate, I guess you used a very small brush to paint the batt on it, looks perfect!!! I also have a spare BA He-man and I think I will do the same, thanx for the inspiration

Glad I could inspire you! and thanks for your kind words!

I paint wargames miniatures as well, so I have lots of very small paintbrushes on hand for the freehand work

Well done. Had I only seen the finished product without knowing this was a custom, I would have thought it was there was some rare official release. With your skill, you could probably buy He-Man and Battle Armor Skeletor off of Matty Collector and make your own classics version.

Good luck. If this project was any indication, I believe it will come out looking really good.
