I would be shocked if Mer-Man, the Sorceress, Evil-Lyn, and Hordak were not in the mix. Plus, would be really cool to get Battle Cat and Panthor; I would be shocked to see a He-Man fig. without a Battle Cat coming in the mix (at some point.)
    Say cheese!!!

    Well, i'm a grieving widow
    when it comes to minis these days;
    especially about the masters.
So i choose to stand on my rock and keep
hoping for the previous & cancelled line to reappear
    in the next few months.
    Multipacks or anything!
There are so many ways to offer them
and make it easy for casual buyers and fans.

How do these normally work? To guarantee all of the standard figures (due to them being blind-packs), you need to purchase a whole case? What comes in a case? 2 of each (plus 1 of the chase?)

I don't want to purchase a case and get 4 of one and none of others. The only reason I'm ok with 2 of each is because I was primarily going to purchase them for my son, but if I get one for me too I'm ok with it haha.

So despite my reservations, I took the plunge on a case of TMNTs for about $200.

    The Good
Character spread was good. Got 2 of each of the 8 base figures except Shredder, and got an April O'neil.
They are fun little figures, with a great sculpt, and surprising articulation.

    The Bad
You need a case to guarantee the basic figures, so real cost is almost as much as a 6" Star Wars black figure per unique character
Collectors are NOT the audience here, and if you're a completest stay away as you could end up spending hundred$ to get the rarer characters.
Army builders are actually the RAREST figures...

    The ugly
I have some QC issues on April O'neils arms... the rarest character I have.
The Accessories are plentiful, but are soft plastic and almost half are bent out of shape due to the way they are packed
The included cards are universally WRECKED... like bent beyond belief.

If DR and MOTUC tick you off, best to avoid these as they are really overpriced for what you get.

I saw the Loyal Subjects stuff when they first started doing Transformers and G.I. Joe. I thought about getting some, but I just didn't feel the design of the body. Whenever I saw that they got the MOTU license and had changed their body design for MMPR, TMNT, and wave 2 of G.I. Joe, I very quickly changed my mind.

I took the plunge recently and bought up a lot of the TMNT and MMPR figures. I now have all 8 commons of both sets with the exception of Raph (who happens to be my favorite turtle, ugh). I ended up going pretty much all in blindly, but I've got to say: I ended up really loving these little figures!

From my experience and observations, it seems like the easiest way to go is to just get these things off of ebay. You can make sure of what you're getting, and if you're patient enough, you can usually get them for less than retail cost. At the very least, you can probably end up with the average cost of the 8 commons being less than retail. Even if you want to try to nab some of the chase figures, it seems just as reasonable to pony up the seemingly ridiculous amount of money they sell for on the 2nd hand market as opposed to buying a case. I think you'd usually get your money's worth out of a case (IF you get them for the significantly-less-than-retail price I usually see them for on ebay), mind you, but only if you wanted doubles or didn't mind reselling about half of it (which I don't want to be bothered with, personally). It also depends on which set you're buying into and perhaps which chase you get. You would probably be a lot better off value-wise buying a MMPR case than a TMNT case, for instance. The chase figures in TMNT just don't seem to hold as much value as the MMPR set.

Also I've noticed that about half the commons generally sell for far less than the retail cost while the other half usually sells at or slightly above retail cost. The turtles and the rangers generally sell well, but I got all the other figures for around half of retail cost. That may just be characteristic of these two properties though.

Yeah, ever since th enew style change for the TMNT wave I am on board with this. I LOVE the MOTU stuff obviously but also the GI Joe and TMNT stuff as well.

If their MOTU releases are anything like the TMNT releases expect a bunch of retailers like Gamestop to have variants.
I want NA Skeletor and Rio Blast and I want them now!

I asked at the Loyal Subjects booth about the MOTU line, they said they're still working on them and hopefully later this year or early next year.
