Hi, glad you're enjoying the blog, and thanks! Please feel free to download anything you like. I don't own the images. The only content I'm generating is the text. [Edited to add, some of the scans and photos are mine, but feel free to use]

I've printed several things off for my wall as well.

Actually I suppose some of the toy photos are mine, but those aren't nearly as interesting as the artwork.

Just don't do what I did and use up all the toner before your wife needs to print something out

    LOL!
I sympathize. Heck, one time back in the day I used up my JOB'S expensive color toner cartridge for their laser printer printing out a lot of art. I had to use the few bucks I had on my creditcard to overnight a cartridge to replace it before I got into trouble.

I really hope you can get around to Trap-Jaw & Tri-Klops Mr. Leech before you run out of steam or decide to stop. I'm a huge fan of the original box art from the early eights and especially the earlier mini comics. Learning the origins of something I've loved pretty much all my life is exhilarating!! Even if you don't get to these guys I'm very appreciative of all your hard work and research. I can't imagine how much time you have put into this project. Thank you.

Thanks very much. No plans to stop. I can't put them out at quite the pace I did last fall due to my work schedule, but I'll keep releasing these as often as I can

Thanks! He's a cool character. After I wrote it, Ted Mayer chimed in in the comments that the concept was created by Roger Sweet. It's pretty great to get that kind of real time feedback on the history of the character.

I can only say thank you for giving us collectors and fans of the early years of the franchise the enlightement we craved for so long but never got.

Your blog is now one of the, if not the, most important space we have as a community to share and discover the most obscure and fascinating facts about the history of MOTU.

It is amazing how rich and interesting your blog is, specially in contrast to the "work" of some other people I won't name, but who, asking permanently for monetary, material an informational resources from others, have not yet produced or shared with the community they are legally bound to serve, one single informative article or proper image gallery. That attitude is uderstandable from a big company like the one who owns the franchise, to give away information in little drops to keep the fans interested, not unlike George Lucas did in its time with Star Wars, because they have a business to run and for them its all mostly about profit. That same attitude from fans doing research as a non profit activity and, moreover, who ask all of us to help them gather items and info they will ultimately hog or share with only a few, is despicable.

Your dedication and passion are amazing and inspiring, and what you do is truly a work of love.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the kind words. I didn't really know what to expect when I started doing the blog. I'm glad that people seem to like it. My passion is definitely for the early years of MOTU, which is why I've started there. But I hope to cover everything in the original MOTU line and hopefully interview more creators. I've gotten a lot of good suggestions from people like Jukka and Tokyonever, which has made the blog much better than it otherwise would have been. And of course there have been lots of other people digging up this kind of information for years before I came around. It's easy to take for granted how much we know about the history of MOTU now. That wasn't always the case!

I don't have anything against any other party out there. I'm just having fun doing my own thing.

So I went trolling through old patents and found a bunch pertaining to MOTU:

I'm not totally sure on that. If you look them up via google/patents you can see some have a fee status as paid or lapsed. I'm not a lawyer though and I don't know what that really means.
