For once, everybody seems to be on the same boat!
Which is gonna make this piece of art a bit more enjoyable
    than its predecessors.
I tend to have some kinda very special
    appealing to more confidential stuff.
Not to mention the opportunity to bring a few other variants
& or new characters to the surface, reaching a much wider audience.
Future surveys could turn even more promising...

The SDCC reveal was a little disappontment, for me, this reveal, however, is fantastic! I will most definetly order this one, and, of course, I got greedy and started to think of a Star Comics collection, including the three part miniseries and the crossover stories with Superman!

    Keep it up, Dark Horse..!

So are these stories basically an unofficial continuation of Filmation?

The strip began as a joint effort between Mattel and Filmation. Initially, it was very close to the Filmation feel and even featured a couple of characters that originated at Filmation. Soon thereafter, Mattel took sole control of the the strip and it went in a slightly more "pulp" direction while still maintaining the Filmation vibe. As Grimbot pointed out, the creative team throughout the strip's run were all Filmation alumni.

This is super exciting, barely read any of these, so excited to see what was palnned to bridge everything together. Always loved their version of king hiss.

    Same here,
the author of this design was probably sort of inspired by crocodiles

    YAY!!!

I, too, didn't know about these as a kid at all, and have been very interested in them since I first learned of them as an "adult collector."

I have a reprint of one of the stories that I actually got from a vendor at the first Power Con, but that's the only one I've seen (other than some parts shared on this site.)

This will truly be the GREATEST collection of vintage material that will be ALL NEW to me, and a lot of us... SO excited!!!

Danielle, I know you've been championing this for a long time, and working with Chris Weber and Karen Willson AT LEAST since their appearance at the last Power-Con... I have no doubt your efforts were instrumental in making this a reality... THANK YOU!!!!! And, looking forward to seeing you again (and introducing you to my family!) in less than a week!!!
