Yeah, these are being treated like boutique items. Super 7 doesn't seem to "do" retail--other than their own store of course. But it's not really worse than the Commemorative distribution back then. They were limited then, they're limited now.

It's not accurate to compare prices on these to Marvel Legends. That's a much bigger line that's sold in retail stores. This will be a more niche line that might only be available online. The smaller the line, the more expensive it is. That's just how it works.
not including shipping of course I'd really like to see these pushed out to retail at some level, even if it's comic book stores.

Doubtful that will happen. I don't think Super7 has the margins to mark these down to a wholesale price to sell to retailers. Retailers, instead, would most likely buy at the same price as all of you, which means a much higher price at comic shops to account for the purchase price, shipping and their profit mark up.

I hope they consider giving her lighter blue eyes, black eye brows and and lighter skin tone. It.l makes her look less Teela like.

I'm really looking forward to getting these, especially when they offer He-Ro and Eldor!

I was thinking...at its peak in 1987, the vintage MOTU line released 16 figures. Had the 1988 wave been fully produced with a similar number of releases, what would we have seen?

    1. He-Ro
    2. Eldor
    3. Laser Light Skeletor
    4. Laser Power He-Man
    5. Tytus
    6. Megator
    7. Strobo
    8. Lord Gr'Asp
    9. Plasmar
    10. Terroar
    11. "White" Ninja
    12. "Snake" Troopers
    13. ?
    14. ?
    15. ?
    16. ?

Who would be in those remaining slots? I guess we can say these four Filmation variants of He-Man, Skeletor, Hordak, and She-Ra fill that void. But, maybe something else was intended back in 1988...

Light variants of Hordak and King Hiss? More Power of Grayskull characters like Gray or Sharella? Additional mash-up characters like Strobo, Terroar, and Plasmar? Filmation characters like Lizard Man, Octavia, or Shadow Weaver? Maybe some mini-comic characters, like Prince Dakon, Garn, Lodar, or Geldor? Or, perhaps some completely new characters we've never seen before.

So, is it true that Mattel has asked Super7 to delay these figures until sometime in 2018???

I'm so sad... I really wanted to open some vintage style MOTU figures on Christmas morning this year... it would have been like 1984 all over again!

There's a rumor that a retailer is the reason for the delay...

    I know, right?!

Although I'm pretty excited for Club Grayskull and CC, I am really stoked for these figures! There's something to be said for amount of nostalgia one of these vintage styled figures dumps on you... I seriously feel like a kid again every time I see these guys!

How does delaying these till AFTER the holiday/biggest retail period of the year make sense?
