    Wakko's MOTUC Unofficial Collection Guide

    GP He-Man

“ALTERNATE VIEWS GP He-Man utilized the stan- dard male torso, biceps, and upper legs, we well as Bow’s shorts, bracers, left hand and boots.”

    AS well as Bow’s shorts...

    ——————————-

    Icer trivia section:

“Five of the six “Club Grayskull” figures, including Icer, only appeared in one cartoon episode.”

Earlier in the trivia section you mentioned Icer was part of the “Club Filmation” sub but above you call it the “Club Grayskull” sub.

This also might be one of the few places you use quotes around the name of the subs.

    ——————————
    Rokkon’s trivia section

“A third Commet Warrior, Granita, was released by Super7 in the MOTUC line in late 2018.”

    Comet is misspelled.

    ————————-
    Jet Sled

“SINGLE SEATER The Jet Sled was designed to acommodate one rider.”

    Accommodate misspelled

    Wakko's MOTUC Unofficial Collection Guide

    Glimmer

Her tagline should include an exclamation point. One of the few (only?) that does:

“The Guide Who Lights the Way!”

    ————————————

    The Unnamed One

“ABRA-CADABRA The Unnamed One’s wand shared a few design...”

Everywhere else I believe you did not use a hyphen to spell ABRA CADABRA (even later on the same page? Maybe intentional?)

    ————————————-
    Blade

The packaged Blade image seems to be lower res than others

    ————————————-

    Scorpia

“A total of fourteen different releases in MOTUC throughout the year would be associated with the original PoP line and/or the FILMation She-Ra: Princess of Power cartoon.”

    Capitalize all of POP

    ————————-

    Battle Lion

    A NEW MILENNIUM

    Millennium misspelled

    —————————

    Extendar

    Shield me section....

Not sure if this matters or not:

The image you have for discussing how big Extendar’s shield gets does not show the shield completely open. There are actually four pieces that unfold, just like the vintage figure.

    Wakko's MOTUC Unofficial Collection Guide

    Double Mischief

    Trivia section:

“In 2014, Mattel produced a mini-sub called Club Etheria, which...”

In other bios, you put the name of the mini-sub in quotes. “Club Etheria” but in subsequent bios you don’t have the name of the mini-sub in quotes (see below). I don’t know which way is more prevalent throughout.

    ————————————

    Horde Invasion Hordak

    Background section:

“While his color scheme, robotic alternate arm, and in the inclusion of Imp were
    all inspired...”

reads a little weird? Maybe remove “in”?

    ———————————-
    Flutterina

    Trivia Section

“Flutterina was one of six Princess of Power figures that was released in 2014 Club Eternia rather than than 2014 Club Etheria.”

    Remove one “than”

    ———————————

    Intergalactic Skeletor

    Trivia section:

“Three versions of Skeletor were released in the vintage“He-Man” toyline (including “Disks of Doom” and “Battle Blade”)...”

Space needed between “vintage” and “He-Man”

    ————————-

    Madame Razz

    Trivia Section:

“When Broom showed up in the Mattel display cases at the Comicaze pop-culture expo in November
    of 2013...”

    Comikaze misspelled

    ———————————
    Rio Blast

    Updated Section:

    “For the MOTUC version
of the figure, all of these gun were recreated....”

Either “all of the guns were recreated...”

    Or

“all of these guns were recreated...”

    Guns out section:

“... but were seprate pieces that
could be inserted into the figure’s forearms.”

    Separate misspelled

    ——————————-
    Tung Lashor

“VINTAGE VAULT The vintage Tung Lashor figure was released as part of the original series’ fifth wave in 1986. The figure, which came armed with a staff and crossbow.”

    The last sentence seems unfinished?

    TRIVIA section:

“A second figure of Tung Lashor, based on his appearance in the FILMation POP cartoon, was released by Super7 in the Club Grayskull line in 2018”

    Sentence is missing a period.

    Wakko's MOTUC Unofficial Collection Guide

    Gwildor trivia section:

“Pictured on Gwildor’s cardback were the Goddess, King He-Man, the Mighty Spector, Clamp Champ, Horde Prime, and a Horde Trooper.”

If you changed it elsewhere, capitalize “The” for The Mighty Spector.

    ——————————
    Kowl

    “The Know-It-Owl”

The tagline on the packaging does not have the second hyphen.

    “The Know-It Owl”

    ——————————
    Lizard Man

    “Heroic Cold-Blooded Ally”

The tagline on the packaging does not have the hyphen .

    “Heroic Cold Blooded Ally”

    ——————————-

    Battle Armor King Hssss

    Two-Packs A-Plenty section:

“They were followed by Rotar/Twistoid (a San Diego Comic Con exclusive),...”

    Comic-Con should have a hyphen

    ———————————
    Huntara

    “During San Diego
    Comic Con in 2013
    at the Mattypalooza
    panel,...”

Comic-Con should have a hyphen. I would do a find and replace for all since it’s throughout many of the bios in various places.

    ———————————-

    Oo-Larr

    “The Jungle He-Man”

The tagline on the packaging has “He-Man” in italics.

    ORIGINS section:

ORIGINS In the early vintage mini-comics, He-Man was drawn with a more savage appearance by
    artist Alfreda Alcala.

Should be spelled Alfredo Alcala with an “o”

    ——————————-

    Sssqueeze

    “Evil Long-Armed Viper”

The tagline on the packaging does not have the hyphen.

    ———————————

    Mara

    Trivia section:

“Mara was the only New Adventures of He-Man figure released in MOTUC in 2105.”

    Year should be 2015

    ———————————

    Heads of Eternia

    Background section:

“The pack incldued heads for Roboto...”

    Included is misspelled

    ———————————

    King Chooblah

The image with the accessory had the word “accessory” or “accessories” cut off.

    Trivia section:

“Pictured on King Chooblah’s cardback were Queen Marlena, King Randor, Chief Carnivus, and Lord Dactus (note that these characters are all members of King Randor’s Eternial Council).”

Should be “Eternian Council” with an “n”

    ————————————
    Flying Fists He-Man

Spoke too soon about taglines and exclamation point. His tagline on the packaging has an exclamation point and also has the word “the.” (Vintage packaging was the same way)

“Heroic Leader with THE Arm-Swinging Action!”

    ————————————-
    Terror Claws Skeletor

Tagline has an exclamation point and the word “the.”

“Evil Leader with THE Claw-Swinging Action!”

    ————————————
    Dragstor

    “Evil Transforming Warrior/Vehicle”

    Tagline on the packaging reads:

    “Transforming Evil Warrior Vehicle”

Transforming and Evil are switched and no slash. (This is also how it reads on the vintage packaging.)

    Trivia section:

“Pictured on Dragstor’s cardback were “Buzz Saw Hordak, Multi-Bot, Modulok, Leech, and the Horde Troopers.”

Missing closed quotes after “Buzz Saw”
    —————————————

    Queen Grayskull

    “ALTERNATE VIEWS
Queen Grayskull utilzied the standard female shoulders, biceps, hands, and upper legs.”

    Utilized is misspelled

    —————————————

    Point Dread Teela

    Trivia section:

“Teela utilzied the standard female shoulders,...”

    Utilized is misspelled.
    —————————————-

    Laser Light Skeletor

    “BRIGHT EYES With the push
of a button, Skeletor’s eyes and right hand (which was made of transucent red plastic) lit up.”

    Translucent is misspelled.

    ————————————-

    Club Grayskull He-Man

    Packaging section:

“The back of the CG boxes (above, left) did not contain a bio or images of other figures in line.”

...of other figures in THE line.”
    ———
    Trivia section:

    “Club Grayskull
    focused on re-releases of
    MOTUC characters sculpted to
look like their designs the classic FILMation MOTU cartoon.”

...look like their designs IN the classic...

    ———————-

    Superman

    Trivia section:

“The was no bio for Superman on the back of his figure packaging.”

    THERE was no bio...

    ——————-
    Serpentine King Hssss

“BACKSTORY This “unleashed” version King Hssss...”

This “unleashed” version OF King Hssss...

    ———————————————

    Darius

    Hats Off Section:

“It appeared that Darius’ planned vintage action figure would have featured a removable helmet as well, along with a frabric cape.”

    Fabric is misspelled.
    ———
    Shield me Section:

    “SHIELD ME Daris’ other accessory...”

    Darius is misspelled.

    ——————————————

    Red Beast Man

“FROM PAGE TO PLASTIC This version
of Beast Man, which was offered as an exlusive at Power-Con...”

    Exclusive is misspelled

    ——————————————

    Camo Khan

    “Evil Camoflaged Master of Snakes”

Camouflaged is misspelled (tagline on packaging is also spelled “camouflaged”)

    ———-
    Strange Beginnings section:

“Mattel paid homage to Camo Khan in Masters of the Universe Classics by releasing the figure as an exlusive...”

    Exclusive is misspelled.
    ———-
    Trivia section:

“The tagline on the front of Camo Khan’s package referred to him as the “Evil Camoflaged Master of Snakes,” ...”

    Camouflaged is misspelled.

    Crita

“WHIP IT GOOD In the cartoon series, Crita’s sceptor could extend into a whip. The figure came a second version of the weapon in its whip form.”

The figure came WITH a second version...
    —-
Also, I think “sceptor” should either be spelled:

    Scepter (American English) or
    Sceptre (British English)

I might pick one and do find and replace across all docs

    ———————-
    Despara

“Powerful Force Captain of the Evil Horde”

The tag line on the packaging has “The Evil Horde” in italics. I would maybe then capitalize “The” and put “The Evil Horde” in italics since they’re referring to the whole group.

    ——-
    Trivia section:

“As the 2016 Collector’s Choice subscription exclusive, Despara was not made available for individual sale.”

    Collector’s Choice? vs.
    Collectors Choice?

Not sure what’s more prevalent in your docs. I’m thinking Collectors Choice (without the apostrophe since the bottom of every first page for each character that was from Collectors Choice has it without the apostrophe).

    ————————

    Night Stalker

    “DYNAMIC DUO Because the pair
were released in a 2-pack in the vintage toyline, many fans
    consider Night Stalker to be
    Jistu’s steed.”

    Jitsu misspelled.
    ———

    Later in DYNAMIC DUO section:

“The figure’s offical MOTUC bio confirmed the connection between Night Stalker and Jitsu.”

    Official is misspelled.

    —————————————-

    Tuskador

    “Mighty Tusked Galactic Protector”

The tagline on his packaging is:

    “Mighty Tusked Galactic GUARDIAN”

    ——————————————

    Club Grayskull Clawful

    “ALTERNATE VIEWS
Clawful utilzied CG He-Man’s upper torso, shoulders, biceps, and upper legs, as well as Skeletor’s boots/ feet.”

    Utilized is misspelled.

    ——————————————

    Ultimate Edition Skeletor

    “HEADS UP This
    Alacala-inspired
    headsculpt,...”

    Alcala is misspelled
    ————————————-

    Ultimate Edition He-Man

“Most Powerful Man in the UNiverse”

The “N” in Universe should be lower-case.
The tag line on the packaging has an exclamation point.

“The Most Powerful Man in the Universe!”

    —-

    “HEADS UP This Alacala-inspired headsculpt,...”

    Alcala is misspelled

    —-

    TRIVIA section:

“... the four upcoming Collector’s Choice figures...”

    Collector’s Choice vs.
    Collectors Choice

    —-
    TRIVIA section:

“In total, Ultimate He-Man collected parts from three different figure releases into one package.”

    ...RELEASED into one package.

Again, yeahthatsmen1973, thank you so much for lending your proofing skills!

I have fixed all of the spelling errors and inconsistencies you mentioned (even going forward to the pages you haven't proofed yet). Things like "The Mighty Spector," "Create a Character," "Comic-Con," etc. are now consistent across all pages.

One note: The font I'm using for the headers and taglines does not have an italics option, so I cannot fix that in taglines that used italics. Not a huge deal, IMO.

This is the only correction I don't agree with. I think it reads correctly as-is. (Read the word "figure" as an adjective and "releases" as a noun. Another way to word it would be, "In total, Ultimate He-Man collected into one package parts from three different figure releases.")

Again, THANK YOU for all your help!

You’re right! I was reading it from a different perspective!

And the Italics aren’t a big deal.

FYI I’m almost done. I think I have two more sections going forward but I’m going to reread them all looking at specific parts. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

    Ultimate Teela

    Tagline has an exclamation point:

    “Warrior Goddess!”
    ——————————-
    Ultimate Ram Man

    Tagline has an exclamation point:

    “Heroic Human Battering Ram!”

    —————————-
    Ultimate Faker

    “Compared to the
    original MOTUC Faker
    figure, Ultimate Edition
    Faker had brighter
    orange hair and armor,
and a solid black belt and
    bracers were the original’s
    were dark gray and silver.”

“...WHERE the original’s were dark gray and silver.”

    —————————————
    Lord Gr’Asp

“Evil Snake Man with the Deadly Grip”

Tagline on the packaging you have pictured:

“Venomous Viper with a Crushing Claw”

    —————————————

    Wonder Woman

“Not only was he the smallest Connect-and-Connect figure Mattel ever produced,...”

    “COLLECT-and-Connect”?

    —————————————

    Club Grayskull Hordak

“WORK OF ART The back of the figure’s box featured an illustration of Hordak standing in front of the Fight Zone.”

    Fright Zone misspelled.

    ————————————-

    Club Grayskull Hawke

“Like Club Grayskull Teela, Hawke sported a twist at the chest instead of the waist. In fact, the figure appeared to share many parts with the GC Teela figure.”

    should be “CG Teela figure”

    —————————————
    Quakke

    “Evil Meteor-Smashing Mutant”

The tagline on the packaging does not have the hyphen.

    —————————————-

    Laughing Prince Adam

    Fabulous Secret Powers section:

    “Even though this
was technically a Club Grayskull figure, Super7 opted to go with the MOTUC version of the sword, making its 22nd
    appearance in the toyline.”

Several bios earlier in Mini-Comic Prince Adam’s Well Armed Section:

“WELL ARMED Prince Adam came with the full version of the Power Sword (making its 22nd appearance in MOTUC), cast in a dark gray plastic with a black hilt.”

Both claim to have been the 22nd time the Power Sword made an appearance.

Wakko your work appears even more colossal and well done when you read it!

Thanks also a yeahthatsme1973 for his correction work.

I found a thing about Invasion Hordak (pag. 325): in my opinion the package pic is in low resolution than the other packages pics.

    Wakko's MOTUC Unofficial Collection Guide

    Club Grayskull She-Ra

“SWORD TO SHIELD One of the She- Ra’s iconic abilities in the FILMation POP cartoon was the power to command her sword to transform into other weapons.”

    Remove first “the”?

    “One of She-Ra’s iconic abilities...”?

    ————————

And that’s it. I’m through my first run of the cards (wasn’t going to dive into the index).

I’m going to take one more look through them all and focus on different things this time.

One note: when you make a list of things, you go back and forth between using the Oxford comma and not using it. Just an observation. I prefer it personally, but too hard and time-consuming to go back through it all just to make that change.

Also we had chatted about this before, but I did not go into any of the official bios and look for errors. Mainly because the original official bios contain so many spelling and grammar mistakes that I would have no idea which ones you chose to fix and which might be yours from mistyping. If that’s something you’d want me to do though, I’d be willing to. Just let me know.

These are awesome though Wakko and I’ll be printing them once we’re done! Thank you so much for putting these together!

I wish I'd been consistent on that throughout, but like you said, it's just too time-consuming to go back and check for it.

I'm not going to ask you to do that. You've already gone above and beyond! I can't thank you enough for your help. I knew the guide had mistakes but you found ones I kept overlooking. It's funny how your mind fills in the blanks when you're proofreading your own words.

That's great! I love hearing when other collectors plan to print the guide. I will say though that there are several indications that the Masters Monday bios are going to be coming for many weeks (maybe months) to come. So there may yet be dozens of entries that will be getting updated with these newly-released bios. So you might want to hold off printing for awhile. Just a thought. I don't plan to print a new copy for myself until the final bio is released. And in the meantime, we've got the next wave of Club Grayskull (six figures), the next wave of Classics (four figures), the Power-Con figures (four figures), and Snake Mountain yet to come before the end of the year. (I plan to give Snake Mountain a spread even if it doesn't get released, just as a "what could have been" entry, although I do expect it to go into production.)

Back to the beginning..... mainly looking at taglines which I didn’t start noting until more than halfway through. Up to you what you want to change. The exclamation points seem randomly placed on different characters’ taglines by Mattel. Some make more sense than others. Again, up to you(!)

    ——————————-
    He-Man

    Trivia section:

“The figure included the original chest armor, sword, half sword, and shield, as well as the Alacala- designed Power Sword, vintage figure head and Alacala-designed mini-comic head.”

    Alcala misspelled both times.

    ———————-
    Skeletor

    “Overlord of Evil”

His tagline on the pictured packaging is:

    “Evil Lord of Destruction”

    ————————

    Grizzlor

His tagline should end with an exclamation point

    “The Ferocious Figure with Fur!”

    ———————-

    Bow

His tagline should have an exclamation point

    “Special Friend Who Helps She-Ra!”

    ————————-

    King Hssss

His tagline should have an exclamation point

“Dreadful Disguised Leader of the Snake Men!”

    —————————
    Sy-Klone

    “Heroic Master of the Winds”

His tagline on the packaging shown is:

    “Heroic Fist-Flinging Tornado!”

    —————————

    Clawful

tagline should have an exclamation point

“Warrior with the Grip of Evil!”

    —————————

    Swiftwind

Tagline has some commas in it

“Beautiful Horse, Spirit, Becomes Magical Flying Unicorn”

    ————————-
    Mekaneck

His tagline should have an exclamation point

    “Heroic Human Periscope!”

    ————————-
    Dragon Blaster Skeletor

“Evil Leader and His Dreadful Dragon with Paralyzing Power”

Tagline on packaging has an ampersand, an exclamation point, and is worded slightly differently.

“Evil Leader & His Dreadful Dragon with Paralyzing SPRAY!”

    —————————-

    Ram Man

Tagline should have an exclamation point

    “Heroic Human Battering Ram!”

    —————————-

    You're killing me, man!

No, really, thank you. I'm honestly beginning to wonder where I got these taglines, since so many of them are wrong. Obviously I didn't pull them from the packaging.

Updated the entry for Kowl to include the newly-released bio for Brave Kowl (a.k.a. yellow toy colors Kowl). You can view it here.

    Thank you for the update!

I found a thing about Invasion Hordak (pag. 325): in my opinion the package pic is in low resolution than the other packages pics.

Hey Wakko, I had sent you a PM, not sure if you saw it, just wondering the best practice for printing these out? Thanks!

Thanks! I will attempt to fix that in the next update.

If you're printing at home, you will need a pdf reader like Adobe Acrobat to open the files. I tried to set up the pages so that there's an ample margin that most printers should be able to handle without cropping off any images or text.

If you want to save ink (and printing this at home would take up a lot of ink), you can upload the file to an online company that can print it for you. I used MGXCopy and selected 80 lb. Text, Matte paper. I also had them 3-hole punch the pages for me so I could put the pages in a binder. It cost around $100 including shipping, which was probably a lot cheaper than printing it at home. The paper I selected has a smooth, almost magazine-like quality to it, only thicker. I'm really pleased with it.

I will also say to anyone thinking about printing this, you might want to wait a few more months. There are more figures coming this year (plus Snake Mountain), and the Masters Mondays bios are going to be released weekly for several weeks (months?) to come, so if you want your printed copy to be more up to date and complete, you might want to hold off printing for awhile.

    Hope that helps!
