Heavily MOTU inspired ... Funko DC Primal Age

I did not find a thread for these yet. What do you think?
I especially like the Grayskull-inspired playset. In general though, not a fan of Funko as a company (store exlusives, convention exclusives, chase variants, flippers and all).

My first thought... He-Batman? Maybe when I was a kid I would have been into that.... but for now that's a hard pass

Second thought? Holy Crap they have Green Lantern!!!

I can only assume they will have other DC heroes and villains later on if this proves popular
However, I will probably not be buying this, not because I don't like the idea but because I don't have money or any place to keep it.

I am digging this. Had my eye on some of the Savage World lines but wasn't into the characters. This line looks good though and I love that it has creature/mounts and a playset. I have a little son that will probably love these when he's a little bigger. Definitely going to be checking it out as more is revealed.

If they were built on Classics Bucks, I would love it, especially the Wonder Woman. (She looks close the the movie one.)

    This!

I’d LOVE more DC characters on the MOTUC bucks.

Yeah, assuming these are reasonably priced, I'll probably wind up getting the whole set! Funko is doing some great work with their Savage World line; it really makes me wish they were the ones making the vintage-style MOTU figures. They'd be cheaper, they'd have better quality control, and they might even have a retail presence.

So...where's Ace The Bat(tle)-Hound (is that who the brown wolf/dog is?) or Krypto Warrior Dog.

    Not even an Evil-Quinn?

I like how the launch lineup I've seen seems to mimic the original 1982 motu lineup for the most part. Four heroes, one of which is a female, four bads, two mounts and a castle playset. I'm really looking forward to this, especially since I'm not currently collecting any toy lines at all.

    Great additions!!!

CLAW THE UNCONQUERED and STALKER would fit in great as well, but I just as well wish for 10 million bucks.

I'll definitely be buying Wonder Woman! And it will be hard to pass on Batman and Superman (presumably for inclusion in series 2).

So ... I might as well just assemble the entire Justice League and grab Green Lantern and Aquaman from series 1 as well! And then they'd need somewhere to meet and Castle Batskull may fit the bill. What an expensive thread this has turned out to be!

I freaking love this concept! It's as if Funko took MOTU, Golden Axe, and DC and tossed 'em in a blender!

This is so cool because these figures will fit right in with the Savage World! Man, Funko is KILLING it right now!

Give them time. They are making Conan figures, and they have the DC license, so I am willing to bet that the rest of the Remco lines will make some sort of presence here.

Dan officially revealed the line today. Looks really fun, going to be getting some of them if not the entire set. That said, anyone going to NY comic con and can pick up one of the free exclusive figures for me?

I just had a Matty flashback. Had the whole bloody line ready to check out on Amazon, and everything started getting deleted. Wound up with the cave and King Shark on order when they get them in. Hoping they put more up later, but, lordy, I thought I was past the days when that sort of garbage happens...

Update: Back up now for pre-order. Still twitchy from the flashback...

The DC line looks amazing. The Batcave will totally be customized for a Skeletor Hideout

No way... it's gonna be the "Bad Guy Clubhouse" where Skeletor, Mumm-Ra, Thulsa Doom, Jason Voorhees, Barbarian Joker, and Scorpion hang out!

Wow... just putting those names together gives me goosebumps! These 5.5" figures are gonna rock so hard!

These look great. I’ve already preordered Thundercats and I’m eyeing Mortal Kombat. I’d be all in for Street Fighter. Help!

Can't find the link now, but word is that DC is going to do a Primal Age Comic to tie in with it.

    Actually, here it is

Dan has some excellent videos up on YouTube covering the line. There’s a couple mounts and a play set all in the MOTU style. Perfect for The Horde. Really, really impressive.

    This is pretty awesome!

Originally stated to be a series, but it turns out that the Primal Age book will be a one-shot anthology....

Oh well, I'm not sure how much longevity they'd get from a whole series anyway... I bet this will still kick butt!

That's surprising, it sounded tailor-made to be one of their digital-first series. They often do those for alternate universe products like this. Maybe they'll go that route if the line really takes off!

Was anybody here like me, really interested in this, then once all was revealed and posted on Amazon, just lost interest quickly and held off on buying?
