    Guilty Pleasure Movies

OK, we ALL have them. Movies that are TERRIBLE, but we love them any way. Taste be darned! So what are your favorites?!?

I will list a few of mine:
    Breakin'
    Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo
    Center Stage
The Step Up movies - Ha, I am a sucker for terrible dance movies
    Last Action Hero
    The Expendables
The Resident Evil movie franchise (so bad, ha!)
All of the Fast and Furious movies
Any 90's action movie with Arnie, Sly, Jean Claude or Mel in them

I am sure the list could go on and on like Celine Dion.

PS. This is a judgement free zone. We all have weird things we like

Wow, I've never seen any of these.

The Steve Guttenberg '80s flick High Spirits is one for me.

I have never seen it, but someone just recommended it to me the other day. I am not sure, because I am not a huge Jack Black fan. Maybe I will check it out.

I absolutely love Breakin' and Breakin' 2. I do not have many fond memories of my Mom, but I remember watching those with her and dancing along when I was a kid. I showed them to my kids too, and I am sure they think they are cheesy, but they enjoy them. Who doesn't love a movie with break dance fighting?!? Oh and I am pretty sure this was JCVD's first movie. You can see him dancing in the beach scene.

There are MANY that I could list, and I'll think of more later.

But one of my favorite "guilty pleasure" movies actually came out on Blu-Ray earlier this week (on my birthday, in fact!), and I ordered it and luckily it arrived on release date. My wife said we could do whatever I wanted for my bday, so we got pizza and watched this movie.

OMG, Stay Tuned! I forgot that existed. How about this cinematic gem:

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102558/

Nothing But Trouble - I used to watch it every time it came on TV. I couldn't turn it off - LOL!

OMG, my hubby is obsessed with the Sharknado movies. He has seen every single one. I stopped watching during the one where they are on an airplane.

I really liked the John Carter movies, but I am an action movie junkie.

I am someone who doesn't care less about critics or "popularity" - I love Halle Berry's Catwoman and Batman & Robin (along with the other Bat-Movies), and all the Power Rangers movies.

I have seen that movie at least a dozen times and it still creeps me out. Clowns are terrifying! I cannot even watch the new IT.

I LOVE Troop Beverly Hills! I have that movie on DVD. Trivia, The Cookie Time Song was written by Hilary Shepard Turner who played Divatox in Power Rangers Turbo and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. Hilary also had a cameo role as the woman who let Phyllis (Shelley Long) buy the dress after deducting $600 from a $5600 dress because it was missing a bead. I like Kellie Martin who played Emily, she would later go on to play Samantha Kinsey in the Mystery Woman movies.

They are soooo terrible and cheezy! I love 'em! My wife just sits there shaking her head, saying "How can you watch this!??"

JOHN CARTER is one of my all time favorite movies, and I'm a huge fan of the novels, too. I really dig the whole Sword and Planet genre, no matter how dated it is.

As for BREAKIN'? That was the first VHS tape my parents bought for me. I must have watched it a hundred times!

Ok, Last Action Hero is an underrated movie, IceyCat. I love that scene where he has a canned phone message on repeat for his ex-wife saying "Uh huh, uh huh, ya ya ya ya."

    Expendables are great.

Others posted I agree are enjoyable to me are Killer Klowns From Outerspace, UHF, Red Sonja, etc...

Yes, John Carter was pretty decent.

    Here is my list....

    The Worst Witch
    Robin Hood: Men In Tights
    G.I.JOE: The Movie (1987)
    Underworld films
    Overnight Delivery
    Never Been Kissed
    While You Were Sleeping
    Three Amigos
    Spies Like Us
    Seems Like Old Times
    My Blue Heaven
Police Academy films (all of them)

I could add a ton more. I love a lot of bad movies.

I might be weird then, because I thought the clowns had a sort of ugly-cute quality to them, even the big fat one. But I love all the jokes that show up concerning why mankind has a fear of clowning. I couldn't watch the new IT either, though I suspect for other reasons Tim Curry will always be my Pennywise.

She was a song writer? I did not know that. Sorta gives the choice for her villain name, Divatox, a new sense of irony. Yeah, I saw the movie on TV once and it was funny enough to keep. Like Legally Blonde, though if you get a sequel you can't really say the movie was not a success.

Two other movies I like, especially around the holidays, are Undercover Blues and Hogfather. One's rather by the book and the other is pretty cheesy, but both are good fun.

    Wow.

You guys have great guilty pleasure movie lists.

I have to admit my guilty pleasure movie is:

    Flash Gordon

I just love the sets and costumes and the drama and Ornella Mutti as Aura is so not sexy for some reason but still great to watch.
*Toy version Catra *Sagitar *Drissi *Lizorr *Zilora *Battle Armor Queen Marlena *Pebb-Liss(Minicomic Comet Warrior) *Lady Slither

My favorite guilty pleasure film: Jerry Maguire. Every time I watch it -- and I watch it a lot -- Kim sighs and brings me a box of Kleenex. Soooooooo many sweet, sappy and wonderful moments. Just a few: "Shut up. Just shut up. You had me at hello." Cuba Gooding's amazing Rod Tidwell on his back as his trainer urges him to get up off the turf: "No...no. Just let me enjoy this moment..."

    Others?

Rocky, Rocky III, Rudy, It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol and -- outside of the box -- Patton ("God help me but I do love it so. I love it more than my life.") and A Few Good Men ("You can't handle the truth!").

Great film, I watched it with my sister once who's 20 odd years younger than me and she asked if it was a real film Mind you I showed one of the serials to my brother who's a couple of years older than my sister and he was very confused when flash died at the end of the first episode.

Really he dies in the series as well...

I canīt remember that to be honest. Killing him almost off was scary but he had a few of those moments if i think about it now. Those writers where amazing and i donīt know why Flash Gordon isnīt a big hit anymore....

Except that live action series from the early 2000 that was bad and i know why that one was a failure.
