I can't wait to see Season 2 of She-Ra, and of course I intend to watch Season 1 again in preparation for the event. I know it's having its debut today, but I can't wait for the announcement that it is uploaded on Netflix.

It’s worldwide release today right? Checked this morning and just now and still no season 2 up for me on Netflix here in Belgium.

    Edit: it’s live!

There was a spikey, urchin looking guy standing by Grizzlor, but no definitive Leech or Mantenna yet.

My favorites were Signals, Light Spinner, and Reunion. Sadly Roll With It didn't live as much up to the hype as I'd hoped.

Entraptra did, however, crawl out of the Scrappy Heap for me.

Light spinner was easily the best episode of the season in my opinion and I can't help but feel the season as a whole was just half a season and I don't judt mean in terms of episode count. The way it was structured felt like the first half of a season rather. But then again that's probably what it was origionaly inted as.

Anyone else think that Hordak might not be able breath in Etheria's atmosphere?

I was actually thinking something similar when we saw how degraded his body is under his power armor. Less that he can't breathe but more that there's some factor missing from Etheria's atmosphere. It does play into the idea of him being an alien himself. My question is why did that crashed spaceship display the same message Bow's pad intercepted, and does that play in to how Hordak got to Etheria?

okay, so, as someone who joined the fandom last year but has since binge-watched literally everything I can find on MotU, a few (very unorganized, NOT IN ORDER OF EPISODE [so spoiler warning) thoughts about the whole season:

I like what they're trying for with Frosta (little kid who is trying to be adult but is still just a child) but her shift in characterization was really jarring.

I still totally get why oldschool Seahawk fans hate the new Seahawk (because the old Seahawk's sole superpower was "the only person in a Filmation cartoon allowed to use actual violence") but, god, I love the guy.

Entrapta remains my favorite, especially because she's baaasically a superpowered female version of one of my friends, who is a slightly-sociopathic maker/tinkerer.

Very happy how unapologetic the new season was about the relationships they chose to portray.

Really love how Bow's dad George was baaaasically rocking a cozy at-home version of vintage Bow's look.

Despite season 1 being my first ever exposure to Swiftwind, I wasn't totally sold on his character. I'm still not sure but I like him a lot more, now that he's just kind of generically more passingly-noble but given to the whimsies of your every day horse-owner fantasy.

Shadow Weaver's abhorrently attitude towards Catra continues to... really intrigue me. Maybe it's because I watched season one in the company of two therapists and an abuse survivor, but it ended up being one of the most mature running themes I've seen in any MotU media.

Planning for battle was a great way to incorporate what has become a modern cliche of an episode, the "tabletop RPG" episode.

I love the current cast, but, GAD, I really, truly hope that next season the interdimensional portal becomes active and we start seeing some of the Horde characters from the actual He-Man side of the line, besides Grizzlor. I know it's a long shot, but I'm really hoping for Dragstor and Mosquitor, even if they're in non-speaking roles.

(Also I'm always hoping for Huntara.)

Oh, parting thought that is SUPER spoiler-y: I love how Hordak threatened and ultimately enacted punishment with the pull of a lever, next to his throne. VERY oldschool, with a modern twist! I dig!

So, did they ever establish that Shadow Weaver knew what happened with Micah later in life? It seemed like, even after her transformation into a magical leech, she retained a soft spot for him. One wonders if that still remains.

Two episodes in, and they were great! Lots of action and Glimmer is really cool so far. The music is actually really good too! Looking forward to more tomorrow. I am trying not to binge Netflix shows so I can have regular weekly routines again, lol!

Anyone else noticed they really doubled down on the exaggerated anime facial expressions? Faaaaaarrrr more than the first season.

I'm not at all convinced Micah is dead, If Shadow Weaver has a soft spot for him it makes sense that she would have him stashed away somewhere.

Like was said earlier in this thread, this felt very much like a half season - I hope we get the rest of it soon because ooooooh so cliff-hangery.

It is a possibility, like cutting the final morality chain in her grand design.

Of course a part of me wonders if maybe on some level Shadow Weaver is still working to stop Hordak, just with the caveat that she gets to conquer Etheria under her own rule.

Where could she stash him though that Hordak wouldn't have found him? It'd be neat though.

    I watched 4.5 episodes .

Frosta,s radical change in personality was pretty surprising in the first episode and somewhat pretentious .

I really think the episode where Catra is captured was making fun of MY Little Pony . The word friendship was way over used and then Swiftwind thinking up horse images of the characters . It was very funny and possibly my favorite episode so far .

Roll with it episode was a great tribute to the original series . I also have a great passion for dungeons and dragons . The story itself was rather weak but my heart sang when I heard the lil 80's She Ra ditty "rolling " with the credits .

I hope Shadow Weaver gets released and rejoins the horde ranks . I really really hope to see Leech and Flutterina .
Also still waiting for the rebel army to show up .

    So has anyone considered that

    portals
might be how the Horde operates in this continuity? I mean, if you consider that

lone spacecraft seen at the end Signal was Hordak's
, it wouldn't be enough to actually conquer even as "backwoods" a planet as Etheria. But if the strategy is to just send one agent then have him open the door for the rest... that's actually not a bad plan, especially if you're looking to conserve resources if your own.

I think Hordak is so invested in

    Portals
so that he can escape Despondos and rejoin the rest of the Horde Empire, they are trapped in another dimension...
Personally I've always assumed that the Fright Zone itself is the remnants of the Horde ship that brought the bulk of the Horde force to Etheria - judging from the crashed spaceship flashback Adora has in season 1 and observing a) how the Frightzone itself has a hodge podge skeletal vibe and b) that it exists in a giant rock/crater formation.

Loved the Filmation-esque fanservice in E4. But on the other hand it made me sad seing, what would have been possible in terms of character design. Even with the animation style used in the new show and the depiction of the characters (mainly teenagers), the classic outfits are superior to the new ones. She-Ra and especially Catra looked awesome. So sad, the they are not using the classic design on the new portrait of the characters.

Of course the question still remaining is how he wound up in Despondos to begin with. His comments and the flashbacks of the others indicate the Horde may have been around for a while, but not long enough to outdate the fall of the First Ones. Unless maybe he IS a native of Despondos and possibly the reason the dimension is such a blank slate. Etheria might be his opportunity for new conquests if he can get to their dimension.

I just finished watching season 2 and really enjoyed it. The first two episodes were okay, but it really began to pick up in Episode 3. Episodes 4, 6 and 7 were my favorites. Loved the nods to the original series in Ep. 4 especially, and I am so intrigued about all the First Ones mysteries. Can't wait for the next season.
