Hordak.de is currently offline due to problems with the provider (supposedly too much traffic -can't see how that's possible, but whatever - I am part of the Hordak.de team, so I know this detail).

I can tell you we are doing our best to get back online a.s.a.p. - currently trying to get out of the contract and change the provider, but more I can't say right now.

Any further questions: post here or if this thread gets closed by our admins you can PM me.

Thanx for asking about us - we do appreciate it.

EDIT: If you were asking in order to look for the Horde-Shop, which also offers the MotU Classics for an as-cheap-as-possible-reselling-price (if you pre-order), then have a look at Masters-Toys.de - but I think that's more interesting for people in Europe than in the US:
    http://www.masters-toys.de/

Horde-Shop (to be entered through Hordak.de) and Masters-Toys.de are one-and-the-same - just a different way to enter it. No change in prices.

I love that site. I can't read German but I love to look at the pictures. I haven't been able to get on in a couple of weeks. Glad to know it's being worked on.

    We are back!! :)

    Hey everyone!

I'm happy to let you know that we are back!!

You might still find a few incomplete looking texts, visibly missing things, but that will be sorted out in no time. We're back on - take a look if you want:

    Hordak.de

Thanx a lot for the support, everyone!

I didn't know we had international viewers.
So - this intrigues me. Who else does from time to time look around on Hordak.de or just load the main page? I like it! And I'd like to know what about the page you guys like - given the fact that most of you don't understand most or even any of the text-content due to it all being in German.

Thanx for every posting so far - keep 'em coming.

I love the images and the database of stuff you guys have, I've fumbled my way around as I don't read german, but it's a great site! SOme of the fan art is FANTASTIC as well. seems most of my favourite sections still need to be up. but I'm glad to see it back.

I went on that site many times in the past as well, great stuff, but I can't read German either but I find my way around . My favorite part is the Epahpa Magazine section which I never seen before, great art on those, only wish you could find the rest of them, I guess even in Germany they're hard to find huh?
Visit my art page at: http://theblock.deviantart.com/ , if you like my work and have an account there to, feel free to fave or watch me, I could use the street cred !

concerning the German comic-books by Ehapa

Thanx for your replies, guys! I do appreciate them. :-)

Not all that hard actually, you find them on eBay Germany (ebay.de) every now and then - they are more expensive if the seller adds a picture of the poster included, if he doesn't, it'll be cheaper, but always ask whether it still is included! The cover artwork of the MotU-Comics by Ehapa is from Esteban Maroto - a genius in my eyes! I love his work just as much as I love the work of Earl Norem and William George! The Ehapa Comic Books all included a poster (taking it out unfortunately meant to interrupt the story, since the backside of the poster did not show ads but went on with the story). About 50% of those posters featured Paintings by Esteban Maroto, the other 50% featured artwork by Juan Escandell, who illustrated the comic books. The stories are only mediocre in my opinion and the same goes for Escandell's illustrations in my opinion, but the beautiful cover artwork makes the comic-line a wonderful collectible! And those 50% of the posters that feature art by Maroto make them all the greater!

This is one of the comic-covers by Maroto:

I had to buy a few duplicats so I could take out the posters and hang them in my flat - the 2 smaller ones are posters from the Ehapa comic-books featuring Maroto's artwork:

Here are 3 examples of Maroto-posters from the German comic-book series by Ehapa (as far as I know in Great Brittain they also had this series - but I don't know whether or not there were differences in the releases other than the language):

Issue #11/1988 (that's the one on my wall):

    Issue #10/1988:

    Issue #04/1987:

    Beautiful aren't they? :-)

I recently saw that hordak.de's forums are actually offline again. Why that? New problems with the provider that occured shortly? I hope the forums are back soon, I'm missing them!
