No... not another Sorrowful episode this week! No... I am moving on to the big dogs!
This weeks pick has always been one of my favorites... still is! But the installment leaves you yearning, wishing, hoping--it quite possibly could've been one of the greatest episodes ever and as the villains shine(especially Skeletor) our heroes remain so-so. Yes, I speak of....
Episode 35 - Gateway to Trouble
Its never a quiet visit for Adam on Etheria... especially when Modulok joins the Horde and brings his latest invention--the Gatemaker--with him! A device powerful enough to transport whole cities or even armies. But of course, no defection would be complete without vengeance and that is exactly what Skelly got planned... after he retrieves his gatemaker!

one of my faves especially since its a heman and skeletor crossover id say a defenit classic i was hoping that skeletor would kick hordaks but w heman and shera but it was great nonetheless and really great story and also pretty funny especially at the end of the ep
"always believe in yerself"
dont be someone yer not
I love "Gatway to Trouble". It is an excellant crossover, that
actually is very true to the "MotU" toyline. We see Modulok, join
the Evil Horde. In adition, to that we see Hordak's interest in
adding Eternia to the number of worlds ruled by The Evil Horde.
I feel this could have been explored in even greater detail if
production had also, continued on the "MotU" cartoon, hopefully,
if She-ra returns, next time we will this is how it will play out The
Horde will be shared between "MotU" and "PoP".
However, Gateway to Trouble, offers us much more.
We get He-man, Battle Cat, and Skeletor, in a classic crossover.
thrown in. As usual there is something very special about the
chemistry between Adam and Adora, and He-man and She-ra is
just incredible. They have such a great bond, that you totally
believe they are twins, considering they were seperated for most
of their lives, this truly is beautiful. This is something else, that
could have been explored even deeper, by continuing both series,
simualtaniously. So, yes if you cannot tell Gateway to Trouble is
one of my favorite of the "She-ra Princess of Power" series.
Take it easy,
Mattel please, buy the He-Man and She-Ra cartoons from Entertainment Rights. If you owned Both Filmation related "MotU" cartoons, plus "NA" and "MYP" cartoons, you would be able to distribute any or all 4 cartoons to Television in the lead up to another relaunch or a live action movie. Plus, you could include Filmation and "NA" animated characters in "MotU:C"!
Long Live 'MOTU'!
IMO, "Gateway to Trouble" is a brilliant and underrated She-Ra episode - for my money it's one of the most enjoyable of the crossover episodes, thanks largely to its guest stars Skeletor and Modulok. Although He-Man features heavily in the episode, for my money it's the villains who steal the show!
Hordak's line about demoting Modulok to Horde Cook always cracks me up, as does Skeletor's line about not wanting any spoo!
All in all, a great episode - easily an 8 out of 10 for me!
Are you fed up with the problems you've been experiencing buying from MattyCollector.com?
If so, please consider joining the Facebook group Mattel Toys - Petition for Change, to present a united voice to Mattel calling for change.
MOTU Classics is an amazing toyline, and collecting it should be fun. Let's try and make a difference.
Just imagine if he and Shadow Weaver took over together! That would rock!!Originally posted by Mikey
Modulok is, as always, a fascinating villain, even more so in POP than MOTU, because he really took on an independent and diabolical role in the series, and undermined Hordak's technological genius with his own dark schemes.
