Even if we're close to the season finale, I love how Hordak is being used. In the original it was hard to determine if he was any better than Skeletor, here we have Skeletor AND King Hiss fearing Hordak's return, if there is a third season the Horde is going to blow away anything from any He-Man series.

I just hope that next weeks episode is only a season finale and that we do get a season three, otherwise it will be a series finale, which it could very well be

King Hsss better not let He-Man know that he'll summon Serpos using a Magical Bauble. If he does...

    He-Man: Gimme that!

[He-Man crushes the bauble in his hand, or throws it into another solar system, or breaks it with his sword, or gives it to Orko to play with, or destroys it in some other way.]

    Serpos: ARRRRGH!

    King Hiss: NOOOOO!

[Serpos, flailing in agony, disappears. The Snake Men suddenly become helpless and thus no further threat to Eternia.]

He-Man: And that's how you get rid of snakes!.

[The Good Guys laugh at this "joke." Roll credits.]

Hey folks, here's my two cents.

Overall, I really liked this episode a lot. I knew I would when I saw that Larry DiTillio wrote it. My eyes went wide more than once in this episode. I was disappointed when Hordak was not freed, but I saw it coming.

I think perhaps it was called "History" because history was sort of repeating itself, with He-Man (who has the power of King Grayskull) thwarting Hordak so the Snake Men can regroup and...well, it's a bit of a stretch.

Here's hoping next weeks ep. is not the last!

    P.S. I do miss Skeletor!

    Great episode.

The best part - Marzo B-Slapping Evil Lyn. It's about freakin' time someone did.

So - Marzo, the snake men, He-Man, and the MOTU know Evil Lyn was trying to free Hordak.

I HOPE word gets 'round to Skeletor - it HAS to. And where are Tri-Klops' flying spy camera thingies?! In season 1, the MOTU couldn't so much as take a dump without Skeletor spying on them through those doom seekers, but this season, Practically zero surveillance. Evil Lyn's magic was weak compared to Marzo, who couldn't even scratch Skeletor with HIS best, so it's time to see Skelly unleash his full wrath on Evil Lyn.

    And then - King Hiss.

It's time we see Skeletor one more time this season, and he better be kicking someone's arse. He's still the main villain, after all. Hiss and Hordak are merely obstacles to his final confrontation with He-Man for the whole ball of wax - warm-ups for the main event, so to speak.

Another good thing, was Adam getting interrupted by Lashor during his power-up sequence.

Skeletor will have the last laugh!

Other than Council of Evils 1 and 2, this is the first time Marzo has ended an episode with his amulet in his possession.

Not bad, just nothing keeps happening.. The shows are either about a rock getting smashed at the end of an episode or some greater evil seeks to return and an attempt is made to stop it. Is there an episode that doesn't deal with this?

Like I said, it wasn't bad. But it does aggravate me to see the snakebuster emblems on most everybody. It's kind of a slap in the face, since it's the unneeded variants like these that flood the shelves when I have never even seen Two-Bad or Evil-Lyn on the shelves, though I once saw a Whiplash... Not to mention that Evil-Lyn keeps repeating the same mistakes.
    ne jabba no badda!

A pretty good episode! About time we get Moss Man and MAn E Faces! Now the question remains where is Syclone?

    Hordak will return!

I loved the interaction between Adam/He-Man and Cringer/BC.

Evil LYnn does not learn does she?

It was so awesome seeing Marzo! I believe He will have a good part next episode!

And hopefully it is not our last episode!

What bothers me the most is that with what was stated in the last WTFWTK is that these episodes were written as a 3 parter with the 1st 2 being History and Awaken the Serpent being like COE 1 & 2 and the 1st episode of season 3 being like the last stand. Which is all good and fine if they do make a 3rd season but imagine if they hadn't made a 3rd, how bad would it have been to have COE as the final episode.

To be continued at the last episode of a season is fine but only if there is definatly a season to come.

I just touched on this in another thread. What if they end this season with a to be continued and then poof we get nothing for a 3rd season It'll be sad indeed.

    Because he is sqeemish

Obviously that fact that the ancient Snake Men ate other sentients was one piece of lore that Kobra Khan didn't come across.

I thought that was a sweet episode until He-man stopped Hordak from returning. There was so much action in this episode.

    Cool things about this episode:

-I really enjoyed the fight scenes, especially the one with Marzo punching the barbarians then running between them and back handing them into the wall.

-Battle cat unmasked and cringer displaying some balls was cool. Along with Adam getting interupted during transformation.

-The part when Mossman, MEF and Fisto thought they had finished the snakemen and King Hssss blasted them while they were talking.

-Marzo lighting up during the summoning of Hordak

    -Marzo ***** Slapping Evil-Lyn.

    Thing that ****ed me off:

-He-man interrupting Hordak's return. Damn him!!!!!!!

Looking forward to next week, it better not be the last either!

It's quite obvious Kobra Khan doesn't quite fit or get along with the rest of the Snake men, there could be a chance he could team up with Skeletor, just as he did in the old series. I always noticed in this series that Kobra Khan wasn't exactly the cream of the crop of the Snake men,but he is in a way diffrent from the rest,he eats diffrently, thinks diffrently,I think he might defect who knows.

Yeah, I dunno if I like it or hate it. I love all this Hordakness but damn... I so thought he would be released. Plus, I hate how Evil-Lyn is treated. I swear, may be she should've turned good... less ***** slappin'. I hate Marzo for that. Besides that, I dunno Snake Men are really irritating me. And like everyone else I am wondering why the **** it was called "History." ****ed Larry, splain.

I thought the episode was okay. It was good to see other Masters besides the ones we've been getting lately. Evil-Lyn and Marzo are great together. The Snake Men kind of bore me, but oh well. I would have been much happier if Hordak escaped, though

I liked this episode overall. We need Marzo to pimp slap Evil-Lyn more often. I hope Skeletor never finds out what Lyn tried to do today, for her sake. Reminiscing about their past and He-Man interference would do little to assuage his wrath this time.

He's always had that teleportation ability. He uses it during his fight with the Sorceress in Rise of the Snake Men part 2.

I think it's pretty cool. Khan is more civilized than his ancestors and finds the concept of eating sentient creatures distasteful. He really is a pariah.

I think this was by far the SECOND BEST episode as of yet.

I'm not getting tired of the Snakes- I think they're TEN TIMES cooler than Skeletor's minions- not to mention WAY smarter, but I wanna see the HORDE!!!!!!!!!!

As for why it was called History- I think it's quite simple: it's about the history between King Hiss and his Snakemen Vs the Horde. THAT'S why they wanted to stop Hordak from returning.

Once HE comes, all hell will break loose! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anybody else think this serpos person might be Hordak or one of his associates and King Hiss doesn't realize it?
