Those are all excellent, but they'll need to have ground that slopes towards the screen for the actual characters to fight on. I'm going to try and crop some of the bottoms to make them seem more realistic looking. Also, the image needs to be stretched to the standard background six, which i believe is 320x240. I like the idea of using the old cartoon's backgrounds for the game, while using the new artwork for everything else. The old cartoon's backgrounds seemed to have more character then the new MYP backgrounds.

    Myko,
Those weapons are absolutely great! We'll probably need weapon animations for He-man's sword, Man at arms' mace, Teela's staff, Ramman's Axe, Orko's wand, and Evil Lyn's Staff. Keep up the great work!

Monster sprites don't use weapon animations though, so there is no point in weapon animations for the evil characters unless you will be able to play them at some point.

Good news folks! Seems that Mike Bock will be helping us with the enemy battle sprites. If you've seen his sprites here on the board you know how great an addition to our team he'll be. Everyone, keep up the outstanding work!

Hi, Uglor brought me here. I am a sprite editor like Micke Bock.
I can work on CAPCOM or SNK style. Here is a sample of my work.
You can use it for you RPG project but do not forget to give me full credits. (Beware :Faker and Moss Mand are re-edited from justin anderson's sprites. Except the Faker and Moss Man all these edits are completely mine...)
    More to come soon.

(No flamming, no thief. Please don't steal this work as avatar or anything else except for the MOTU RPG project . Or I won't post sprites anymore here )

    Hey everyone....

The addition of innershade totally kicks a$$. All we need now are backgrounds and battle animations and we'll be all set for making the actual game. Thanks to everyone who has helped thus far.

A while back I got into a "GIF collection phase",I would take a snapshot of a sprite in diffrent frames till I got the actions I wanted the sprite to do,I understand how to work with frames, but what program or programming language , do you guys use to make the sprites work on mugen,I have a collection of old videogame characters as GIFs,but ofcourse with limited frames,is there a way to do a full sprite dump with all the animations made by that sprite sounds etc.. very technical question but if anyone understands what I'm trying to say,let me know,I'm not a programmer but if I could help I wouldn't pitching in.

But I like the Clawful, Tri-Klops and the Evil-Lyns.

These sprites were a begining, I have already given credits to the great Justin Anderson's MOTU edits. I will redo them by my self later.

No problem. As I said, I didn't want to accuse you of anything.

And judging from the quality of your other edits, I really look forward to more.

    No Problem.

And now, a taste for things to come:

I forgot the second belt because I didn't find enough space to add it.I was a bit lazy on the cyber arm... I need to make it again...

As this somehow turned into a "show of your sprite edits" topic, I hope it's okay if I join the fun and post some rather old but never seen before sprite edits of my own.

First, Tri-Klops (overused base, I know, but it fits)
