    Defenders of EterniA

this is something i would like, if i ever customize MOTUC toys of these characters, to be the sticker on the box.

The time is not very far in the future. The days of He-Man and the Masters is part of the past, but still very fresh in the minds of Eternians. The statue of He-Man stands proud and bold in the center of the city. At the bottom it is inscribed “King Adam: The He-Man” King Adam rules with his Queen Teela for a short time. Skeletor has been frozen in the Eternian Jail, and the evil warriors have been scattered.

Skeletor escapes, with the help of Evilyn, but instead of trying to fight, he flees to the future, and promises King Adam that he will destroy his future Kingdom. King Adam travels to GreySkull, and consults the Sorceress. With a heavy heart they both agree that it would be best if he changed into He-Man one last time, and follow Skeletor into the future. With the Help of an old and retired Man At Arms, they design a techno sword and vest, so that Adam can have the same powers that he does as He-Man. Replicated through his new sword. (this sword visually looks much more like the NA sword, and nothing like the awful 200x sword

Adam returned to his kingdom and with a heavy heart. He shared with everyone his duty, and why he had to go on this journey. He decides that his wife, Teela, and his son Dare would need protection while he is gone. He has Man At Arms young apprentice TechTrek, a local mechanic’s son, build an upgrade robot. ROBOTO4. ROBOTO4’s only duty was to take care of the Royal family.

He-Man has many battles in the future with Skeletor. Skeletor has to have his body reconstructed to withstand the differences in the future. His new evil mutants turn him into a cyborg. He-Man himself, with help of his vest and sword, this new world does not affect his body.

Back on Eternia things are not well. Snake Mountain is no long standing. In the Dark Wars the Masters, everyone of them. From part timers like Syklone, Stratos and Fisto to Eternian Officals RioBlast, Extendar and Clamp Champ the battle outside of Snake Mountain took 4 days to end. After Count Marzo fled to another dimension, Evilyn lacked the magic to continue fighting. Their brute force had been worn down. Merman left like a coward to fight another day. Some of the deceased include Beastman, Clawful, TwoBad and Stinkor. Of the Masters noticeable deceased are Buzzoff, Mekenek, Ramman, Man-E-Weapons, and Fisto.

When He-man was around things never got this devastating. A tired Man At Arms noted on his return from the war, “Without He-Man here, we fall short of what he stood for. And the only way to survive was to succumb to doing the wrong thing. Kill, or be killed.”
There was no battles between good and evil for a while after this war. It almost seemed that both sides felt that even if they would have “won” without their leader, they really wouldn’t know what to do.

One night, 4 years after King Adam had left, The Queen awoke to the voice of the Sorceress. She was told that she must come at once. Teela went to her father to look for guidance. They both knew that this day would come, but had only hoped that Adam would have returned by now. But the Sorceress days were few, and her daughter needed to replace her as the guardian of GreySkull. Man At Arms requested a servant to go and wake up Dare, for in the morning it would be announced that he would be King and single ruler of Eternia.

Dare was 14 years old. His father left when he was 10. His mother would leave now. Eternia has a new King. He rules for several years. He does not know where his mother went, only that her destiny called.

Skeletor returned to Eternia. As a cyborg now, he entered into the dark hemisphere amazed to see that snake mountain has been destroyed. He gathered up a few evil warriors and decided that he needed a new place of residency. Considering that Snake Mountain was originally built by the snake men, Skeletor felt only fitting for a king like himself, was to build a new castle.

Through a portal outside of Greyskull He-Man returns chasing Skeletor. He powers down to return to his normal self, and it had an awful effect on his body. He collapsed to the ground. His body paralyzed. The Sorceress flew out of the castle to see what had happened, and she held her husband in her arms. “How is the boy?” Adam said with a smile. “Good” Teela said as a tear rolled down her cheak, “I check in on him often, though he does not know it is me.”
“Good” Adam replied, “Skeletor has returned….” “Then he must be stopped, rest my husband, you have served those you love well.” And with those words King Adam, The He-Man closed his eyes and died.

The Sorceress had a few select friends and family come to Greyskull where they placed Adam in a tomb. Those invited included an old Stratos, Mossman, The Goddess and her protector Baena, Man At Arms, King Carnivous, Dare, King Adam’s son, and of course, though very old, his father and mother. It was a small and intimate funeral. Orko returned from Trolla, and Adora from Etheria.

Now, Skeletor with his new castle in the Dark Hemisphere, and warriors to serve him some old, Evilyn is back in ranks, though magic has kept her somewhat young, she often is there just for council, Whiplash and Webstor also. Some new villains enter into the scene. Spyfly and Copperhead along with some others. (notable new warriors Arm-A-Gator and Owlock) Other evils in the world (not connected to the Skeletor) are Count Marzo, and Evil Seed. Occasionally we see Kronis and his Pirates.

To defend his fathers honor, Dare takes it upon himself to recruit a team designed to recreate what the masters did long ago. Defend Eternia from the Evil forces of Skeletor. He would call them “The Defenders of Eternia” Dare is not part of these stories, only a side character. Some older Masters still work with this group, like Man At Arms, and Syklone. Mossman occasionally. And a new mysterious character known as The Blind Man. The defenders themselves include Trodon, TechTrek, ROBOTO4, Glade, KayLa, Skylor, Honeycomb. Some notable close friends of the Defenders include Trappor, Man-E-Faces, Heat, BluPrint and SilverGlove. Though Duncan is still involved, the new Man At Arms on the field is previous Masters member Clamp Champ.

    HoneyComb

Lets begin with a new warrior:

    HoneyComb: Female Andreenid Warrior
Only a handful of warriors of th Andreenid race stayed back when the Queen decide to take the hive and search for another home planet to live on. Their number was less than 35. Of those warriors Buzz off, head of the Andreenid Guard, with a heavy heart stayed. Most believe because of his ties to the Masters, others believe he just was fed up with the Queen, and couldn’t believe that she would run like a coward, especially (along with Avions, and Spileans) being one of the oldest races on Eternia. One of the Bee-like members that stayed was HoneyComb, a female warrior longing for battle, but had never had the chance to fight. She was a “gatherer” and was thought to lack the strength to carry a weapon in battle. Soft spoken, HoneyComb does not speak very often, but she has a heart of gold, and wings as fast as any creature on Eternia. She carries a short axe (stinger) as a weapon, and has impressed Man At Arms in battle and has earned her way into the ranks of the Defenders.

Thanks to Emiliano for letting me use his art as a mock up for this character

    TechTrek: Heroic Eternian Mechanic
Growing up the son to Jude, now a local Eternian mechanic, Levi would often find himself over hearing Duncan and his father talking about the times back in the academy, and talking about new inventions or machines that Duncan wanted his father to make for him. Levi trained long and hard with the dream to join the Royal Guard someday. Tragically an accident happened that left Levi’s lower half unusable. His father spent time building him legs over the next few weeks, but had to leave to join in the Dark War. He remembers over hearing Dekker come over, and plead with him that they needed even veterans in this time. With a heavy heart, Jude, the former Man-E-Weapons left for battle, never to return. Levi spent hours trying to finish the legs his father started to make him. Duncan would often come over to see how the progress was, and to see how he was holding up. Levi had constructed a glider to work on things around the shop, it made him more agile, and he could get down low. Levi decided to take Duncan’s advice and put the legs aside for a while. He shuffled though some of his dads notes, trying to figure out if he missed something with the construction of the legs, and found a “vehicle” form called: Trek. It reminded Levi a bit of the AttackTrak Vehicle that Duncan often brought in for repairs, or upgrades. Levi realized that even in this, his father was a visionary. While getting the legs built, he was already thinking about his son, with other options, a vehicle for fast mobility, and flyer, and a sea ski. He couldn’t help but smirk, and with that, he built his first Trek.

Here is JSuns character, who in my canon is TechTrek's father.

    Lets continue with another Bio!

my new 200x TRODON in progress!!

    Trodon: Heroic Preternian Snake Hunter
From the preternian era, when Eldor and Grey fought against the evils of the land. Trodon was their right beside them, fighting against the snakemen, crushing their heads under his heal. Now, with new Evils on the rise in Eternia, The New Sorceress of Greyskull (former Queen Teela) has opened a portal from the past, to bring Trodon to the present time. Now, Trodon acts as the field leader of the Defenders of Eternia. The reason why she opens this portal is because her son, Dare, while reading through the history books of Eternia came across stories of this “Hybridf”. Half man Half Reptilian character, and decided he should be part of this group.

    SilverGlove

Peter’s favorite hero growing up was Fisto. He even got to meet him a few times. Though not the biggest in size, Peter wanted nothing more than to serve the side of right, and follow in Fisto’s footsteps. He became a local stable boy at a young age, and watched the Jousters fight in Eternian matches. Years passed, and Peter decided to apply to train in the royal guard. On his acceptance he was overjoyed and spent the next several years serving in the guard. One night he had a dream, it began like many others. He was fighting along side Fisto, against the evils that were in Eternia. This dream was different though. Every other one, they all fought against evil, and Fisto did talk to the group as a whole, but in this one, Fisto turned right to Peter and said, “Peter, all Masters before you are proud of what you have done. You have a great destiny in the fight against evil. I want you to go, find my hand, and use it as a weapon. Just as I have.”
Peter awoke shocked by what had happened that night. He couldn’t help but think that Fisto himself was asking him to steal his gauntlet. This went on for a few days, until he realized this is what he must do. Fistos hand was being kept at the Eternian Museum. Late one night Peter broke in, and tried to steal the hand. Fortunately one of Eternians Security guards, BluPrint was there to stop it from happening. Visor contained Peter, and brought him to Man At Arms (formerly Clamp Champ).
Peter shared his story in its entirety to MAA explaining what had happened. MAA, who battle alongside Fisto for many years knew that this was not an accident. He looked at Peter and said, “I also have had that dream, and in it Fisto stayed behind as we marched forward against evil, I looked down and wondered why he stays back, and I notice that he doesn’t have his fist. He looked up at me and told me it would be ok, then pointed to the soldiers on the front line. I saw your face there, and you were using his fist as a weapon.
Peter served in the royal guard for a brief period more, before becoming a Defender of Eternia. And MAA dubbed him, SilverGlove, in honor of his favorite hero.

Thanks to Sllohcin for letting me edit his wonderful work to use for this mock up. I actually have my classics version of him using a buzz off buck (as armor) with hero arms and legs, with man at arms weapons. His fisto weapon i picture to be more of a shorter handle.

hope you guys like these ideas!!!

Love the battle fist staff and you have to finish the painting of Trodon, great concept, some MOTU heads are hard to use Hordak, Trap Jaw and Syklone are some of them, but you got a great idea for it.

Skylor: Heroic Country Bowman & Friend of Birds
Living in a small village in the plains Skylor loved life in the wide open. Hunting only what was needed, and living off of the land. Skylor’s father told him “the Legend of the Skeleton” before bed as a younger boy, but now as a man, Skylor’s father shares about how the skeleton man has returned to their world. Skylor told his father that he felt compelled to fight against his new evil forces. His father have him his blessing, and told him he should go to Castle Greyskull, and contact the great spirit bird. After Sorceress met Skylor, and saw his skills and gift, she recruited him into the Defenders. Skylors talents include several things. He is a trained bowman, swordsman and has a pet bird named Oscar, (still figuring out a name. lol) who can transform from a small shoulder bird, to a bird 7 feet tall, that he can ride on.

    BluPrint: Heroic City Security

A master strategist, and in mathematician and schematics, BluPrint holds rank as Eternia’s head of city security. He is a head of the Master City Council. Founded by Extendar, the MCC has become a great tool for Royal Guard and city members to take care of their city. Heads include: Snout Spout, of the Royal Fire Department; Rio Blast, of the Royal Policing Unit; and BluPrint head of Royal Security Fold. Each of these heads have a unit between 5-25 Eternians working directly below them. BluPrint finds it fascinating that in all the stories of old, very few shed light on the cities local heroes, who often helped save its cities people. From the times of Clamp Champ, who was King Randor’s personal bodyguard, to the times where Snout Spout and Extendar saved 3 families from a burning building started by an Evilyn spell. BluPrint often works with ROBOTO4 within the city walls. Occasionally he joins the Defenders.

    Very interesting concepts.

I like how you've taken the 4Horsemen idea for the new armor and mixed it with the NA designs. Very cool spin for your own continuity.

Also, how all of these people from different walks of life are slowly coming together to form this group is very cool, including Fisto appearing in a dream, to make it happen. Very cool. And I love that Dare's looking through the history books to see how to form his army and says, "I want this guy in it!"

    Keep it up!
I bought TWO 2013 Subscription as support, because of the promise that showing support will ensure 2014 will include ALL the major POP and NA characters.

thanks man! I appreciate it. I do like the idea of the "techo" sword, but my personal preference is that the design of the 200x sword is unpleasing. So i tried keeping the concept, and having it be the NA sword instead.

I wanted some (but not all) connections to hero's from before. I felt that this ties into the past very well, and lets the readers know that there are some great connections to the past.

The major difference from my stories to yours is that you have Dare becoming the "he-man" in his time. I do not. (though who is to say that could be in the future) but for now, i love thinking about how they try and continue to stop evil without that "MVP" character.

keep up your stories too! I have a couple more characters to add soon!

I really like your idea of Dare still being a child, and being a child king, rather than magically turning into the strong man. And yeah, connections to the past are good, but I like that your characters aren't literal graftings from figures we've seen in the past. You have a good mix of old and new, so it makes it more real. I look forward to reading more.
