Queen Angella is leaving Brightmoon, and puts Glimmer in charge. Catra overhears this and decides to give the Queen-for-a-Day a gift! She chooses the Crooked Crown and has a servant give it to Glimmer. Glimmer decides to where the crown, which Madame Razz recognizes as evil. It zaps Adora and puts Glimmer into a trance. Glimmer decides to right all wrong in Etheria and sets out on Enchanta. Adora immediately becomes She-Ra and chases her down, only to find that Glimmer has sunken some starving sailors' lifeboat with cake, turned a villager's haystack into a heavy stack of gold, etc. She-Ra fixes all the problems and finds Glimmer only to discover that her head has significantly grown! She-Ra coaxes Glimmer to land, but Glimmer decides to give Etheria a nice rainshower and creates a storm. Glimmer gets a terrible headache, and is unable to undo the storm. Meanwhile, Catra spies on them on an overlooking cliff. She-Ra pulls part of the cliff off to create a ditch for the storm water, and Catra falls into the water. Glimmer removes the crown and apologizes just as Angella returns. Glimmer claims that she will never be the Queen that Angella is, but Angella shares her wisdom. The book ends when the rebels get a good laugh out of Catra who fell into the ditch.
