Perfuma
falls victim to Catra’s treachery, as she naively accepts
a gift of flower seeds from the corrupt cat-woman. Once planted,
these super seeds burst forth with ugly, dangerous weeds, ruining
the carefully tended gardens of the Laughing Swan Inn. As Perfuma
desperately grapples with the mutant plant life, Catra laughs
with glee, not noticing a witness standing at the Laughing Swan’s
balcony. Flutterina flies to the Crystal Castle for help, enlisting
the aid of Mermista, Bow, and of course, She-Ra. Aboard the Butterflyer,
they return with Flutterina to the Laughing Swan, where Catra
holds sway, combatting the heroes’ attempts to restore order
to the garden, thwarting them at every turn with a new form of
evil plant. She-Ra decides to fight fire with fire," and,
magically charging some of Perfuma’s own flower seeds, unleashes
a pack of snarling, barking, dogwoods and snapdragon plants, sending
the frightened feline screeching in retreat. The Laughing Swan’s
flowerbeds still lay in ruins, and Perfuma realizes the folly
of taking gifts from strangers. But her friends are on hand to
help weed out the evil from her garden.
