The Spectrum Emulator is shareware. It should be operated in DOS mode or at least a full DOS window, but an examination of the switches will allow for playing in an individual window. To play a game with the .Z80 extension, push F3 and type in the path and name of the file. It is best to have the file in the same directory as the emulator so that you will only have to type the name. You must, however, always use the proper (.Z80) extension. Pushing F2 will allow you to save a full RAM image of your game. Load this in the same manner as any other .Z80 file. There may be a switch that forces the emulator to run at the same speed as a real Spectrum, but I have not found one that works. The He-Man game, and the Masters of the Universe movie game both run too quickly to play, and the text adventure is probably running too fast. The controls are as follow:

X128 Emulator Instructions

This emulator has good speed. The He-Man games run in 48 BASIC mode.

F5 loads games.
F6 saves RAM images.
F10 exits the program.

WSpecEm Emulator Instructions

This emulator does not seem to allow full-screen mode. I am really not to certain as to the relative speed of this emulator. Its good points include the setup program which installs itself to the start menu and associates most Spectrum file types to itself. The most important reason to have this emulator is the ability to view such types as .scr.
