Description
By way of a Cosmic Key-formed portal, the Sorceress takes He-Man back to the time of the Towers and the reign of Hiss. When they arrive, the village that will one day be the Palace of Eternia is under attack by the Snake Men. He-Man wants to intervene but the Sorceress warns that his intervention could alter history.
Meanwhile, Skeletor has sneaked into Grayskull Tower to find the portal and takes advantage of it by going back to the same time He-Man has entered to find Hiss. He befriends him in order to gain powerful knowledge and they head off to destroy the village that will become the palace. The Sorceress realizes Skeletor's intervention, disguises He-Man, conjures up Bionatops, and sends him off to fight Skeletor. He-Man attacks the Snake Men and Skeletor, and Skeletor ends up taking the Power Sword. Just as the tide is about to turn against He-Man, a mysterious figure appears and uses extremely powerful magic to send all the intruders back to their correct time and place. At the end, the Sorceress comments that they were sent back by the most powerful Sorcerer of all. He-Man is left to ponder "But who is he?"
Analysis:
Parts 2 and 3 of this story were never written, although we do know that the "Most Powerful Sorcerer of All" was going to be revealed as He-Ro as part of the Power of Grayskull line. Beyond that, even today we do not know the specifics of how this story would have ended.
