This special one-shot issue with all of the benefiting the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation. Unlike Dream Halloween 2002, this issue was available for order by US comic book retailers via Diamond Comics. It was also given away for free at the 2003 CAAF fundraiser.
The comic features two stories:
- The Power of Fear
In the first story Skeletor, feeling that his usual cronies and underlings are ineffective against He-Man's power, uses the mystical elixir of Schneidor to summon Scare Glow from another dimension. Scare Glow later attacks Teela and Man-At-Arms, while they and Adam are out testing the new Attack-Trakk. Adam gets away, and changes into He-man in order to combat the extra-dimensional spectre, but finds himself resoundly incapacitated by Scare Glow's fear hallucinations. Only a timely intervention by Orko saves the trio of heroic Warriors from destruction, and Scare Glow is defeated and sent packing back to a seriously displeased Skeletor.
The second story is a reprint of the Dream Halloween 2002 exclusive comic and features an internal monologue by He-man, describing his battle against evil and his daily hardships, urging the reader to never give up and lose hope, no matter how bleak things may look.
A small fun-fact of a tidbit, is that current image-partner and writer Robert Kirkman, served as the letterer on both stories in this issue.
