Orko the Magician
Orko tries to help King Randor find his crown in this issue's comedy strip.
Feature Story 1: "The Flower of Life" (English translation of the German comic "Die Blume des Lebens" from Ehapa)
Teela is dying from a disease she picked up on a mission to an alien world. He-Man has gone to find the rare Flower of Life, the only thing that can cure her. Over barren land, He-Man has found the flower and is speeding back to Eternos in the Road Ripper. On the way, he comes across the body of a man. He quickly puts time aside to investigate, and finds that the man is still alive. The man tells him he collapsed when looking for water, and leads He-Man to his village, which he tells him was destroyed. But as He-Man observes the village, the man seizes He-Man's sword, and transforms into Hordak! He-Man kicks the sword out of his hand- but then is seized by the claws of the Monstroid!
An interesting question on this issue's letters page asks if Prince Adam broke his leg, would He-Man also be handicapped by that injury? The answer is that the power of Grayskull would heal Adam's leg as he changed to He-Man.
Feature Story 2: "The Flower of Life", Cont'd
The Monstroid flings He-Man over a cliff, but He-Man uses his sword to stick into the side. He then makes his way back up, and fends off the Hordesmen, then knocks the Monstroid over the cliff. He then returns to Eternos, and uses the flower to save Teela's life! She walks in the royal garden, feeling well once again, thanking He-Man for saving her.
Feature Story 3: "Secret Files of Scrollos: Sy-Klone"
The much-requested origin of Sy-Klone finally features! It explains that Sy-Klone was once an athelete called Dash-Shel, who lived on the planet Snave, where he could outrun the fastest robots of the planet! The one day, Snave was attacked by the Horde, and Dash-Shel set about thwarting their scheme to overtake the world. But he was fatally injured in battle with the Horde, and almost died- but his father, Thom-Shel, a brilliant scientist, saved his life by making him into a super-powered cyborg warrior called Sy-Klone! With his amazing new powers, Sy-Klone blew up the Horde ship and rid Snave of the Horde- but he learned of the battle going on on Eternia, and bade farewell to his family and friends, and set off for Eternia to help the heroic warriors against the Horde! Since then he has become one of the greatest of the heroic warriors, but hopes that someday he may return to Snave.
(A very enjoyable issue. Sy-Klone is given a classic origin story, depicting him as one of the most powerful and energetic of all the warriors!)
