I remember the DC comics thing with He-Man--that's my earliest memory. In fact, I have the 3-part miniseries.

I REALLY got into it at the age of 10, when He-Man first aired, back in 1983. Then, two years later, She-Ra aired and if MOTU/POP was dope I'd be a MAJOR junkie! It aired on Channel 20 in Detroit, and from 4-5 pm it was the TV20 Power Hour, as the station called it. My dad even taped the Christmas special for me and my sister Rosalind--I used to borrow it until I ordered my own copy.

My sister and I were really hooked to the point where, at a family friend's house, we had the portable TV on a TV cart, plugged into an outlet in the shed. We'd be playing in the pool and watching the Power Hour outside!

My sister and cousins grew out of it (though my sister requested some episodes from me, which I'll give her when she gives me that trumpet she bought and never plays) but I'm still going strong at 27! :)
