  Wendy de Boer

Hi, my name is Wendy de Boer and I come from Holland (a tiny country next to Germany). I'm now 18 years old, but I used to watch He-Man when I was about five years old.

Unfortunately, He-Man was never on Dutch television. I had to watch Sky Channel, which was in English, and I didn't understand a lot of it. At that time I only knew a few English words and I could count to ten, which I was very proud of.

Anyway, I didn't know much of what they were saying, but I really liked the cartoon, especially Skeletor. Of course, I realized he was the bad guy, but that's what I liked about him (I've always been a little weird, you know) and to me he looked the coolest of all the characters.

I really wished I had a few of the action figures, but my parents kept buying me Barbie dolls and Lady Lovelylocks and stuff. My classmates had them, though, but they didn't want to play with a girl.

I hadn't though about He-Man for years, but when I started to explore the Net, I decided to look for He-Man sites. I was very happy to find out what He-Man was really about. This year I finally saw the He-Man movie too.

Now I'm working on my own figure: a Skeletor doll standing about 15 inch tall, which I'm crocheting out of blue wool. Sounds crazy? Well, I already made my own Spawn figure and it looks really cool. So, Skeletor wouldn't be much of a problem. Maybe I'll send a picture when it's finished.
