The He-Store
is running a few specials for a very limited time.
A case of the Snake Armor Battle Blade Accessory
is marked down from 39.99 to only 29.99 a
case! Click
here to check it out! (We're actually surprised
the Store isn't sold out of these because they are pretty
dang cool)
Remember those 509B villains cases that disappeared? Well,
after almost four months, they were mysteriously delivered!
Now the He-Store is going to blow them out
to make way for the S cases.
Each 509B Villains case has been marked down from 46.99 to
only 43.99 a case! Click
here to check out the regular 509B case.
And for all your figure openers, each Damaged 509B Villains
case has been marked down from 43.99 to only 39.99
a case! Click
here to check out the damaged 509B case.
The He-Store also had Battle
Bonez cases and Skeletor
statues back in stock.
And be sure to read the He-Store
FAQ and the PayPal
payment FAQ before ordering. Thanks!
Also,
Mattel tells us the S cases will be here
soon! Our delivery was a bit delayed in light of all the She-Ras
we received.
But they'll be arriving shortly!
You can still order a B1508-966S
and B1509-966S
case for only 46.99 each!
And congrats to fans who got in early for the special preorder
price!
And just a note about He-Store shipping.
A few newcomers to the He-Store noticed we
don't ship as fast as other retailers.
That's because we're simply fans helping other fans save money.
This isn't our primary business, and we do it on the side
to help raise money to keep MVCreations
operations smooth and He-Man.org running
like clockwork.
If having an item right away is important to you, the He-Store
probably isn't for you because there are times when it takes
the full length of processing/shipping time (outlined in the
FAQ) to get the item to you.
But hey, who can't wait a little while longer for an item
at a great price, right?
Secret
of the Sword will be released in Germany with German
and English language this November.
Also, it appears the Christmas Special will
be on the Same DVD! Read
up more on He-Man.de! ...if you can read German, that
is.
Thanks to He-Fan Laura Rucki for that info.
Word
on the street is that the new MOTU is headed to India!
Idian MOTU fans should keep their eyes peeled for MOTU.
Thanks to He-Fan Jazyl Istoo for that info
from Mattel India.

the country, headed to the He-Store. More info soon!

While
Mattel
Legal has taken a breather on the He-Man.org
issue,
(read more on this in the first
discussion and the update
that followed) Mattel's Retail, Brand and Marketing
team keep pushing forward for the fans.
The Moss Man figure that was available last
year after buying three figures and sending in the UPCs along
with shipping is now available at the He-Store. Click
here to get 'em!
You can pick up yours for 25.00 plus shipping
(that's 20.00 for Moss Man, 5.00 for the
packaging and handling, plus whatever shipping costs). The figure is limited to one per person.
Please, don't try to find loopholes to scoop up multiple Moss
Man figs. Remember there are other fans just like
you who deserve a chance at getting this figure.
If we have more left after a couple weeks, we'll allow for
multiple purchase. But not until then.
And
be sure to read the He-Store
FAQ and the PayPal
payment FAQ before ordering. Thanks!
No
word on She-Ra just yet. We know that Mattel
has some extras and they plan to get them to fans. But details
are still being ironed out. We'll post more info as soon as
it becomes available. So hold off on those eBay
purchases until we know for certain! Save your money!
Those She-Ras on eBay won't disappear if
you aren't buying them. So if this doesn't pan out, you will
still be able to get her there.
We
have received word that the B1508-966R and B1509-966R cases
are indeed cancelled.
Due to a slight boo-boo, US orders for those cases couldn't
be placed in time.
The He-Store will be sending out cancellation
notices in the next week for those orders.
But two cool case assortments are now up for preorder for
only 43.99 a case! B1508-966S
and B1509-966S
What makes these cool?
The Heroes case (B1508) contains: Snake Armor He-Man (finally)
Roboto
Zodak
Sky Strike Stratos
Mekaneck
Snake Hunter He-Man
The Villains case (B1509) contains: Fire Armor Skeletor (as a repaint called
Ice Armor Skeletor) King Hssss
Venom Spitting Khan The General (Rattlor, for those of us who
know better) Skeletor Two Bad
Also,
it's come down the pipe that the Mecha Grab He-Man
& Skeletor assortment is indeed cancelled for
US delivery.
But, the Mecha
Bite Battle Cat and Panthor are still slated
to be shipped. They are slated to hit the US in September.
The He-Store will be sending out cancellation
notices for the Mecha Grab figures in the next week.
There's no word if they will be offered again later.

MVCreations
will be at the 2004
Wizard World Chicago Convention.
You can find us in booth 132 (click
in the thumbnail below for a map of our location on the floor
of the convention hall).
And for fans who are attending to purchase a She-Ra
exclusive, please remember to tell Mattel representatives
how you feel about the toy, cartoon, comic, and He-Man.org
(see news from August 9th). It's extremely important that
they hear how us fans feel, be it good, bad or both, directly
from our mouths.
Thanks everyone, and we hope to see you in Chicago!
We
have some
troubling
news to share
with fans
of He-Man.org.
It's come
to our attention
that Mattel
may absorb
He-Man.org. Click
here to see
what other
fans have
to say about
this.
It's actually
something
that Mattel
has been pushing
for over a
year now,
but they have
never really
acted on it.
Lately, we
fear the worst.
One would
think this
wouldn't necessarily
be a bad thing.
It's also
possible that
it could be
in Mattel's
right to own
He-Man.org,
as the name
He-Man
is a federally
owned trademark
of Mattel's.
We're not
sure where
we stand legally
since we've
had this site
in operation
for many a
year, prior
to Mattel's
refiling for
the name and
the relaunch
of the brand.
But it's not
Mattel
owning the
domain name
that troubles
us.
What worries
us is if Mattel
owned He-Man.org,
they might
slowly tighten
their grip
on the site
content itself
until
it's become
part of their
company and
devoid of
fan control/input.
Mattel
claims this
won't happen,
but given
everything
we've seen
over the past
two years,
we are very
weary.
We've all
fought very
hard for MOTU.
This site
was one of
the biggest
catalysts
for the rebirth
of MOTU.
It's the largest
site for information
and news on
MOTU.
And we feel
the only reason
Mattel
probably hasn't
come in and
forced it
away from
us is because
they are scared
of how fans
will react.
We've stood
by Mattel
through a
lot of things
we don't necessarily
agree with.
But please
remember,
there are
a lot of good
people at
Mattel
who fight
for the fans
and He-Man.org. Mattel
is not a bad
company that
sets out to
upset fans.
They make
decisions
based on what
they feel
is right at
the time,
just like
anyone else
would.
So cursing
the company
as a whole
is wrong because
it blames
everyone in
the process...
even those
who are fighting
the good fight.
Still, it's
the few people
there that
make the less-than-popular
decisions
that worry
us. And it's
only a few,
but that's
all it takes.
If it comes
down to it,
we'd rather
move He-Man.org
to a new domain
rather than
have a bunch
of suits come
in and take
away what
is an important
part of many
of our lives.
This is not
only a MOTU
resource,
but a strong
community
where we all
feel at home
regardless
of how long
you've come
here or how
passionate
of a fan you
may be.
It sickens
us to think
of abandoning
the name He-Man.org.
It's a recognizable
name across
the globe,
even branded
on shirts
that many
of you wear
(and we thank
you all for
making those
shirts a reality)
But if worse
came to worst,
we won't let
Mattel
take over
this site.
We've seen
Mattel
ignore He-Man.org
input (fans,
creators,
etc) in favor
of some bad
internal ideas...
ideas that
the company
did eventually
ended up using,
but too late
in the game.
We 've watched
horrible case
ratios clog
the pegs.
We 've endured
choices on
some less-than-spectacular
non-Four
Horsemen
toy designs.
We 've witnessed
bad time slots
and presentation
for the cartoon.
Some of which
could be stopped,
some of which
was uncontrolable.
And now, we're
fighting to
keep the comic
alive for
the fans despite
regulations
that have
made it almost
impossible
to maintain
sales and
shipment in
a competitive
comic industry.
(What
is happening
with the comic?
It may disappear,
even though
MV wants to
continue producing
it. Please
to read more
about what
is happening) And
despite it
all, like
many of you,
we still fight
for this brand.
We don't want
it to end,
even though
we've been
holding onto
the crap end
of a stick
for longer
than we would
for anything
else in this
world.
If you want
to share your
opinion with
Mattel,
click
here to e-mail
them.
More importantly,
we encourage
every
fan
who attends
Wizard
World Chicago
to stop by
Mattel's
booth and
TELL
them how you
feel..
About how
they've handled
the toys...
About what
you've seen
with the cartoon...
About what
you want to
see done with
the comic...
And how you
feel about
He-Man.org...
Be it good,
bad, or a
mixture, tell
them how you
feel....please...
Thanks everyone,
for your time
and understanding.
This site
wouldn't exist
without you.
Please help
to keep it
and Masters
alive for
years to come.

Why
are those new figures on display in San Diego?
Everyone wants to know, and it seems Mattel
isn't talking or at least giving up any concrete information.
The reality of the situation
is that most everyone at Mattel loves MOTU.
They are passionate about it, and they know this line can
succeed if sold just to collectors.
But, Mattel is a business. And they must
weigh the expense of production and administration for continuing
the line against the profit it would generate when sold to
a specific audience.
People theorize about what should have been, yet the reality
is that children didn't take to this brand. And that's the
deciding factor for big toy companies.
We can blame it on case ratios, or poor marketing, bad time
slots for the cartoon, etc. We're sure it all played a role
to some degree. But children still wouldn't have driven the
line to the extent necessary to keep it in mass retail accounts
(Wal-Mart, Target, TRU,
etc).
This is our passion, and MOTU would succeed
if sold in the US for collectors while sold Internationally
to adults and children alike.
The best thing we can all do as fans at this point is to once
again let Mattel know how we feel.
Yes, we've done this before. But this time, even Mattel
is encouraging fans to let the decision makers at the company
know. Plus, we've all been provided the fuel for the fight.
Who doesn't want those awesome figures shown at the show?
They know about the petition and many people at Mattel
have referenced this as proof of the popularity of the brand.
But now, we need to voice our opinions rather that post them.
We'll post more info soon. Don't let the toy line we love
slip away!
Hordak
will be in Chicago.
The NECA
con exclusive Hordak will be available in
Wizard
World Chicago. NECA has set aside approximately
200 of the 750 Hordak busts for fans in Chicago.
If that number seems low, it's actually close to the ratio
of attendance at both shows. So if you want one, and are a
fan, get there early August 13th!
July

The
NECASan Diego Comic Con Exclusive Hordak
mini-bust with a red base is now sold out.
We're not sure why it wasn't spread out over the duration
of the convention, but the mini-bust was selling like hot
cakes and in was high demand.
For anyone who missed out, don't worry. The same bust with
a black base will be offered early in 2005. It will still
be just as incredible!
So
you want a She-Ra figure?
People have been e-mailing us constantly asking if we will
be offering a She-Ra figure for anyone who
can't attend the con (be it because you are an international
fan, have plans that prohibit you from going, you can't afford
to travel that far, etc).
Well, we can't talk specifics yet.
But we will say, there's no need to resort
to eBay
and pay outrageous prices for this exclusive.
If you just have to have her asap, and want to spend the cash
on eBay or somewhere else? Then hey, it's
your money!
But if you can hold out until after San Diego International
Comic Con and Wizard
World Chicago, we think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Fans
were greeted with a surprise at San
Diego International Comic Con.
Mattel has some awesome prototypes of previously unrevealed
characters including: Clamp Champ
Clawful
Hordak
Snout Spout
Sorceress
Stinkor
Tung Lashor
With the exception of Clawful (and the already
released She-Ra, King Hsss
and Snake Armor He-Man), these prototypes
were all unpainted 2-ups. No packaging or 1:1 scale figures
were on display for these figures to indicate they are in
production. Mattel
has not released any info on why these figures are on display,
and officials only respond with "No comment."
Is something brewing? Is life left in our beloved Masters
toy line? We'll be sure to post more info as soon as we find
out!

Also, things were hoping over at the NECA
booth. Most everyone in line was there to get the Hordak
mini-bust with exclusive red base. The line circled the entire
booth and then extended far down the convention hallway.
Something else to note. SDCC has made it
mandatory that all exhibitors with toy and bust exclusives
do a raffle to eliminate hours of waiting at long first-come-first-serve
lines that interfere with other booths.

The
Four Horsemen
are geared up and ready for San
Diego International Comic Con! But before they go,
they want to congratulate He-Fan Joey Di Raimo
for deciphering the cryptic hints they love to drop on the
forums every once in a while. Joey is the lucky guy
to walk away with an awesome "bronze" Hordak
mini-bust!
Check out the mini-bust and the details of how Joey
got it here!
And be sure to keep an eye out for the Hordak
mini-bust early in 2005.
And good luck to the fans attending San
Diego International Comic Con and Wizard
World Chicago who can pick up a Hordak
mini-bust early with an exclusive red base!
