MOTU Origins “Retro Punching” He-Man and Skeletor were released under the origins line, despite the fact that they’re really a recreation of toys from the original 1980s line. Like the original figures, they had the spring-loaded waist twist feature, soft hollow heads, and six points of articulation. He-Man came with vintage style armor, a vintage style axe, and a vintage style shield. However, his Power Sword, as well as Skeletor’s, was the “Alcala” style half sword that came with the original MOTU Origins figures. Both figures had more paint applications than the 1982 releases of He-Man and Skeletor. They were released as a Target exclusive to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Mattel.
