Danielle Gelehrter is a writer and actress who also goes by the name Penny Dreadful. Her persona of Penny Dreadful is a television horror host based in New England. Danielle is well-known for her work in the Masters of the Universe community and has worked with Dark Horse Books, MVCreations, Mattel, Super7, He-Man.org, and is part of the Power-Con team as Creator Relations Manager for the con. She is also a regular co-host on He-Man.org's podcast, "Roast Gooble Dinner".

MOTU Classics Bios Writer (2016-present):

Under contract with MVCreations, Danielle Gelehrter and Eric Marshall became co-writers on the Masters of the Universe Classics Collector's Choice bios for Mattel in 2016 (previously, Marshall wrote the 2016 Power-Con figure bios). When Mattel licensed MOTU Classics to Super7, Gelehrter and Marshall continued as the writers for the Collector's Choice figure cardback bios and the MOTUC Ultimates pack-in story cards. In addition, the team of Marshall and Gelehrter have written all of the official digital Masters Mondays bios and info cards for Super7. The Masters Mondays bios are released exclusively via He-Man.Org. Iniitially consisting of previously unreleased 2016 bios, the Masters Mondays bios cards also include new history and information about artifacts, pack-in characters, weapons, and other items. Through both the cardback bios and the digitial bios, Gelehrter and Marshall have been able to elaborate and expand on the lore and characters of MOTU Classics.

Dark Horse Books:

Danielle is a major contributor to the Masters of the Universe Dark Horse Books including: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Minicomic Collection (interview writer), The Art of He-Man & the Masters of the Universe (co-adviser), He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: A Character Guide and World Compendium (writer and researcher), and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Newspaper Comic Strips (lead research).

Danielle Gelehrter and Val Staples went on a successful, epic quest to collect the original newspaper MOTU strips, that would eventually become the Dark Horse Book: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Newspaper Comic Strips

Trivia:

- Danielle created the MOTU vampire character, the Crimson Countess.
