I hear you, Strobo would be awesome to see in toy. :) but I guess we need Sy-Klone first. :/

I'm surprised that Frosta or any of the other POP gals haven't been TM'ed yet...or have they?
Sounds like a great list of figures. I can't wait for the Horde Troopers. That's going to be a mad rush to the computer that day. When those are released, I'll probably for the first time buy the maximum! And then I may come back in and do it again. Horde Troopers rule!
cause I found it otherwise; still looking for more.
Who/what is Kex? :hmconf: Does anybody know? Thanks.
I want some Horde Troopers!!!
If they can do the Palace Guards as cool as they are, the Troopers have to be pure awesomeness!!!
Catra, Sweet Bee, and Swiftwind were trademarked earlier this year :)
I think the fact that Mattel won't invest in the TM-ing of all the characters at once betrays the fact that they, as usual, are not interested in investing in MOTU for the long term. It's almost like they would rather make as big but as quick a buck as possible and then if the line doesn't survive on it's own, can it (let's face it, the property, as always, sells itself... Mattel doesn't need to actually DO anything, except refrain from bungling it).
I know they say it'll run until 2017, and I believe that (Marvel Legends is STILL trucking along), but Mattel isn't really doing much to make that happen; mattel is lucky that way.
I can't get the link to work (it says session has expired when I click it), but I can't find Glimmer. :(
The only Glimmer I can find that's a toy, is the horse for Barbie:
Is this the one you found or a different one?Quote:

Well it's Mattel and it's a trademark for Glimmer. It's also for "TOYS, GAMES AND PLAYTHINGS." So would this not work as a re-use of trademarks? or does the trademark have to be "action figure" specific?
That is not how it works.
A trademark is a trademark, its based on the general type of item. They do not have to kill the current Glimmer in order to have an action figure. If they wanted to make Glimmer toilet paper then they might, but I guess only if the toy Glimmer was featured :hmlol:
I'm amazed there's a delineation between dolls and action figures.
Though I suppose it does help the government make more money by having more categories so similar names could be trademarked separately under each.
Well, do consider that Hasbro recently trademarked the name Shockwave, and immediately tossed it on a Mighty Mugg just for the sake of having the name used so that it would definitely be theirs.
Mattel might've done the same thing with Glimmer; it's a thought.
A couple new trademarks have been added to the list:
KYLE RECCULA - Looks like a real name. May or may not belong to MOTUC.
FIGHTING FOE MEN - Falls under "notable". *Probably* going to be part of Vikor's bio.
Also, HE-MAN OF THE NORTH was filed, but I'm not adding that to the list because we already know that's going to be for Vikor and that he's coming.
Kyle Reccula sounds like a real name for Mekaneck for some reason.
who do you think wrap trap is. I'm thinking he might be the horde mummy from the conceptual drawings in the early stages of development.
Hasbro have had the name "Shockwave" back since 2006 or so - they tossed it on a random mini-con during Transformers: Cybertron to secure the name, then used it for a full-on homage in Transformers Animated.
Yeah - Hasbro were recently denied a ® for "Airachnid" on the basis that it was 'too similar' to Mattel's "Arachnoid" ®. While phones and furniture are pretty distant from toys, two types of toys might well fall under "too similar to grant both to different parties."
Where have I heard Fighting Foe Men before? I know I've heard it.:hmconf:
I just noticed Modulock was trademarked... Oh man I hope we see him next year, but it is doubtful.
I could see Kyle Reccula for Mekanek, Bow, Flipshot, Hydron, or one of the other Protectors... Heck, it could be Ram Man, but I see him as more of a Murphy. ;)
I sure hope Bow's 'real' name isn't Reccula. He's already got enough issues without his name reminding me of this:

Kyle Reccula sounds more Monster High to me.
I think I would laugh if I ever saw a Master named Kyle. LOL
My names Kyle, I kinda want a master named Kyle now :hmlol:
Reccula is the phoenetic spelling for the Thai word for "spy"
Recul in French means "retreat."
I doubt either of these help at all.
After all, my linguistic theory about "Ky'Rulla" (Icelandic Kyr=1000 and Rulla=turns) turned out to be neither Spinnerella nor Sy-Klone
We need some news... we're getting bored LOL. :skwink:
There was actually a court case that decided that! lol. Gotta love the US justice system.
Apparently there is an extra tax charged on dolls to the manufacturer.. and action figures were being taxed as dolls. Toy Biz (who made a ridiculous amount of action figures in the 90s) apparently challenged the classification in court. The court decided in favor of Toy Biz and hence action figures are not dolls.. it's law!
