I seen today pre-orders (opening soon) for the four Neo vintage Filmation's figures on an european whoseller website, they also had Three Terrors, re-actions etc
Collected He Man as a child in the early 80's and now am getting my son into it. Trying to get him figures to play with, etc....these figures look pretty much identical to the originals. What are the differences? I'm not a collector, so I'm not seeing it.
are these the first 4? If I'm reading this right, they are.
Going to try to do that. He's watching the dvd's right now and is just now really getting into it. I'm hoping the movie makes it and an interest returns next year.
I see the classics that were brought back in I'm guessing around 2000 and I'm going to try to buy some of those. Are these new vintage classics made by the same company? Surely they are.
These are the first 4. There was a Commemorative collection released by Mattel in 2000. These new ones are done by Super7 which got a license from Mattel to make MOTU figures.

oh, wow. that is interesting. im looking into buying some of the 2000 line right now, seems most affordable to buy for my boy.
I sure hope they don't ignore the new collectors. They got my attention with these vintage style figures and I'm extremely excited about collecting them. I would really be disappointed if we don't get an Orko, Man-E-Faces, etc. since I don't own any of them and my interest for collecting these figures would quickly wane.

I placed a pre-order with Super 7 a few days ago and received an email with my order number. Is there a way to check status on a pre-order?
There were also Possessed Skeletor and the Three Terrors (Wolf, Bat, and Jaguar) by Super 7. Both in standard versions as well as Glow-in-the-Dark and an all black Possessed Skeletor.

September is the release date list and is there any chance these might come out before then ?
I’ve already pre ordered. Hoping to have them before my sons birthday In August 31.
Two packs shipping next week. Pleasant surprise!
I just received an email stating that the pre-orders for the 2 packs start to ship out next week, an update on when Stridor will ship will come later.
when were the two packs orginally supposed to be released?
I'm going to assume all status updates for pre orders from Super 7 is obtained through emails and not through their website status link.
New here (actually been gone for a VERY long time). I have a few questions, I have skimmed thru the thread but don't see them readily answered because I guess it assumed most here already know the answers.
1) When are these Filmation style figures for sale and how much do they cost? I don't see them on Super7 site.
I did see some on Ebay and it seems they are going for 100 or more per figure. WOW. My budget can't fit that, do you think the price will ever get in the 25 dollar range each for them?
2) Why isn't Mattel making these? They gave a license for Super7 to do them?
Seem like dumb questions, I know. But been away for a while.
This was a little tricky to find. I get how someone could miss it if they didn’t know what they were looking for. It’s under Featured Products, but doesn’t come up if you just click on MOTU.

OK, I missed that Mattel made Filmations versions. That's how out of the loop I am. How long ago were the filmation Skeletors that are on ebay going for 200 or more dollars made? Mattel logo is onthem. Seems from what I read it's a partnership with MATTEL, not a full rights sell over. Odd that Mattel themselves wouldn't want to produce such figures, that's what puzzles me. Anyone enlighten me as to why they do that?
Mattel made the first wave of the Classics filmation figures, 6 of them. He Man, Skeletor, Trap Jaw, Evil Lyn, Evil Seed, Beastman and Clawful. and then closed shop. The rights went to Super7 and they have released one wave so far and taken pre-orders for wave two.
A few speculated reasons for Matty giving letting S7 use the license. The main one is that they could just not be bothered anymore with the low profit margins. This came about after Scott left as there was no one left to champion the brand to the higher ups in Mattel. Coupled to that, there was also rumour that the amount of criticism (using a nice word) by the fan community also had a part to play in the decision.
As mentioned above, in the Vintage line there are the 3 Terros and their variants and pre-orders for the first wave are up now. The next wave is likely to be Eldor, He-Ro, Beastman and Man at Arms.
In my opinion, S7 have had some teething issues, but are really good at listening to the fans and have released some really nice figures so far.
I am in love with that Mattel Skeletor (Filmation) now seen on ebay but no way I can afford paying close to 300 for it. How long ago did they make those? I missed the boat on that one. What was their original retail cost?
A couple years ago or so and $20 or 25 I believe. As classics and Filmation (classics) were sold at same time don't remember the exact price, especially since I never got them as I had had enough and quit Classics by then!
Back on topic: I plan to order She-Ra in Sept, just can't afford to yet sadly. But I really want her, this is a dream figure for me!
