You're a real deal He-Dad, your kids are lucky
Yeah, they are super affordable (considering today's figure prices) and really awesome for what they are.
Sub Zero is the hardest figure in the line to get right now... I'm not sure why that is. There are also chase versions of Scorpion, Raiden, and Sub Zero with translucent-molded parts...
I don't know.... I just really, really like these guys! :)

I preface this by saying I’m collecting this line, but if I were, I would want a focus on 80’s media characters and New Adventures. 200X should be an afterthought. This line has a chance to give people the characters they always wanted as a kid. There was no Dekker or Carnivus back in the day. One new media character here and there, but I’d want mini-comics and Filmation characters to headline.
Personally, I would pickup Lodar and Strongarm if they get made, as those two characters were my most wanted as a kid.
I voted only for 10 figures
1 Blast Attak (it was the last MOTU that I bought, but it was damaged so I returned it to the shop)
2 He-Man (Preternia Disguise) (he apperead in The Powers of Grayskull - The Legend Begins!, and along with He-Ro and Eldor, he represents one of my 3 last experiences with MOTU )
3 Karg (I'm a movie maniac)
4 Keldor (The Search for Keldor, was one of my 3 last experiences with MOTU, so Keldor and the Unnamed One are key figures for me, and I was really disappointed with the fake Unnamed One that we got with Classics)
5 King Grayskull (I ain't a fan of 200x, but KG is one of my favorite character)
6 Lodar (I'm just obsessed with this character)
7 Scareglow (one of my favorite character)
8 Shadow Weaver (one of my favorite character)
9 Shokoti (I'm just obsessed with this character)
10 Skelcon (I'm just obsessed with this character)
And I can't stop repeatin' it, I'd like to have a resealable packaging!

Question for anyone who can answer it...
Maybe I just misunderstood but the way I took it if we voted for a character that already exists in the original line (like Mantenna) that we were essentially voting for a Filmation style variant. So then what are we getting when we vote for characters like Blast Attack, Scareglow, Gwildor, etc that were produced in the vintage line but never actually appeared in the Filmation cartoon? Would they just be straight up reissues of the originals?
Voted and hope we get some cool figures.
I will love to match some Funko Thundercats with this new Motu 5.5 inches figures...
.
I'll take pretty much whatever they dish out in this line. Fingers crossed the ones I want most make it. This is the most exciting thing to happen to the line in a very long time in my opinion. I'm a sucker for these.
ETA: One thing I would like to address is the flat paint used on the Three Terrors set, whereas the original line used a more glossy paint on belts, boots, etc. The prototypes show a flatter paint, but I hope production matches the original style.
Am I the only one who thinks it's silly to make characters in the Filmation style if they were never in a Filmation cartoon?
edit: What I'm asking is... What are the characters on the list who were already made as a 5" figure but were never in a Filmation Cartoon going to look like?
For example: Gwildor, Karg, Double Trouble, Extendar, etc.
Hopefully we may get an updated List figure that is so hard these days to get at a fair price...
How did I miss the first 4 rounds of this?
I'm just glad I got to vote for Castle Grayskullman. I would LOVE to see him in vintage scale!!
That's a good question and it'l' be interesting if the figures get to that stage.
Because, if those characters are voted up high, then people are saying they want a Filmation interpretation of it. And that would be neat to see considering they don't have a Filmation design.
I had high hopes for this line as potential He-Man "toys" that I could buy if my impending daughter actually was interested in playing with MOTU stuff.
But at $20 each, I'm not sure that's really going be feasible.
I wish they had come in around $10. Now I might try to grab more Loyal Subjects.
Super7 is crazy high on everything. The Funko Mortal Kombat ones are $10 a pop which is a good price. S7 is putting these in retail stores and are still double the price. And the whole "they're a small company" excuse is BS. They gotta get that price point down if they expect to move large quantities of these things.

Well, those aren't He-Man. :)
My friend's 3 year old girl is obsessed with He-Man thanks to us watching the cartoon with her and getting her hooked. I have fantasies of that and wanted toys to go along with it. Probably won't happen, but I thought the S7 stuff might actually fill that void until the price was announced. I don't need vintage-style collectibles for MOC display.
