Yesterday I bought the 20 year anniversary edition of Purple Rain, but I had to order Under the Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge from Amazon since no store in my rotten town got them in

I actually found High Fidelity at Wal*Mart for a fairly nice price, which is such a great movie - Jack Black at his most manic, John Cusack's eerily familiar neurotic and compulsive behavior, and Smiths references. What's not to love.

I really was interested in picking up the Hellboy DVD, but when I heard there was another version with more features coming out soon, I held off.

Nonetheless, this little selling trick with DVDs is really annoying.

To celebrate a new job, my friend Steve and I both bought copies of the Super Mario Bros. movie, which in retrospect, is something of an anti-celebration. I had forgotten just how much of a mess that movie was, lol To quote my brother, "it will now forever be a scar on your bookshelf."

I can't believe the US only just got Futurama Season 4, we've had it on Oz for awhile now. That said I picked Seasons 3 and 4 just the other day.
"So what am I supposed to do with it?"
"It's a magic sword. You lift your arm and shout 'By the power of Grayskull', or something like that."
    "And then what happens?"
"Then you get struck by lightning."
*looks at the sword for a moment*
    "Here then, you try it."
