MOTU and POP Tattoos! Post 'em here if you have any!

Some of you have heard me mention getting a Skeletor Tatto for the longest time. Well, I finally did it!

This is the image that I wanted. I always liked the way his hands looked. I also liked his wicked raised eyebrow expression. When I was a kid, my Dad drew up an enlarged version of this image, and my mom (being the awesome cook she is) transfered the image, colored, iced and made up a cake with this Skelly image on it for my 9 or 10th birthday. Parent's are soo cool! I also got a car decal made up for my first truck. I tell people that He-Man and co. are the only men to have never let me down. (We don't talk about NA He-Man, however.)



Here is the basic black outline on my shoulder as he prepped to start filling it in. (Don't try this at home unless you know what you're doing.) It wasn't as bad as I thought. However...



Being the Manly-He-Man that I am, I got light-headed. Luckily I didn't pass out. My boyfriend was nice enough to get me a soda and some chocolate. Mmmm! Caffeine! I had to put my head between my legs. Neverthought I'd really have to do that. The artist was cool! He was a He-Man fan also. He knew about the figures, the line being discontinued in the states and the cartoon.

And here's the final product! I'll post more pics when it's healed. It should be in about two weeks. I love the way it looks! (The blood on his forehead is mine. The design isn't bloody at all.) This is the best shot I could get. So, let me know what you think.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! It's all itchy right now because it's healing. Ha-ha! I'm shedding skin like a Snakeman! Ewwww!

I'll post a nice clean picture once it's all ready to be presented.

Pennypunk - you should send me or post a pic of your Jack tat. I considered getting Jack or the pumpkin on the door to Halloween town. I saw these cool tats in a magazine that someone put on each forearm. One is of Jack and the other is Sally.

I may eventually get Sally on my other shoulder, but I haven't decided if I will or not. I also don't have any MOTU tats... yet.

Please post a pic if you get a Nightmare Before Christmas tattoo. I'd love to see it.

LOL! Thank you. Actually, it isn't a growth. I have keloid skin, which means, I scar very easily. Dark skinned races tend to have it. (I'm hispanic)That was a tiny little pimple at one time. I accidentally scratched it over my shirt and before I knew it... I had that stupid scar. That's another reason I was afraid of getting a tattoo. So far, nothing's happened. And usually I can tell right away if I'm going to get a keloid.

OK, I'm sure everyone would like me to stop talking about my medical history, so I'll stop.

Pennypunk, you have an AWESOME tattoo! I like the way the clouds smoke around the entire image. Very cool! I have a similar image on my wrist watch.

That's a great looking tattoo. I have 3 MOTU tattoos myself. One of the classic Power Sword & Havac Staff crossing each other (Apr. 2001), one of Y2K Orko (Feb. 2002) and one of Y2K Zodak (Nov. 2003) I'm planning to get a next one, either of Hordak or King Hsss in snake form.

You should post some pics of your tattoos! I'd really love to see them! It seems that a few people have MOTU tattoos, but haven't really said anything about them. Maybe you're all just a little shy or we just haven't gotten to everybody...

I AM a hardcore Skeletor fan. Mostly villains, but Skelly has issues with family and his brother, just like I do. Villains are always the main reason for a story. If it weren't for the bad guys, you'd have just a bunch of good guys sitting around just smilling and doing nothing. Boring!

So make life interesting for everyone and go out and do something bad today! Just don't kick any puppies. Puppies are cool!

So... that's the end of that. I want another one, but I have to be careful or I'll have the entire cast of MOTU on my body. What's Heroic enough that I can put on my left arm? Grayskull? Cross? Power Sword? Orko?

Very nice looking, awesome job by the artist! I understand about the keloids, I have the same problem myself, however, I'm a pasty white girl!

Ya gotta get He-Man as a counterbalance, otherwise you might get "taken over" by (insert echo effect) "the evil forces of Skeletor!"

That looks awesome. It healed really well and the color is nice and vivid. I got a rock 'n' roll bat tattoo on my arm during the summer and lost a lot of color on it for some reason (looks like some scar tissue formed), so I have to get it touched up. If you get another tat be sure to post pics!

Believe it or not..... My girlfriend, who isn't even into MotU, wants to get an Orko or Sorceress tatoo.... Just because she like the designs. I talked her out of it though.
