MOTU and POP Tattoos! Post 'em here if you have any!

I've wanted to get some tats for a while now, and it would make sense to include something that's a nod to MOTU, but the difficulty is deciding on what! I wouldn't want any characters depicted, because I'm more of a symbols guy, and it would be more subtle. The question I'm asking of you guys is, what are all the cool symbols in the MOTUniverse? Obviously there's He-Man's chest emblem, but that's just a generic German iron cross. His battle armour and thunder punch versions have an "H" instead, but it's not particularly interesting. I like the Horde symbol except for the fact that it has Hordak's face on it, so I don't think I want that. I don't think any of the other factions have specific logos or symbols, so I'm a bit stumped. Can any of you help me out with ideas?

About a year ago I got this tattooed on my arm... (I'm incredibly afraid of needles, so I still have no Idea how I got this... while being sober...)

Wow, this is freaky. I was just looking for this thread to refresh it as we talk about MOTU and POP tattoos in episode 077 of RGD.

I want to get an awesome he-man tattoo, I just dont know of what. Grayskull? every character? .... I was thinking arm, back or hip.

Thing is, Im no artist, and was wondering if any of you guys would be willing to design and post them here?

Also, if you have 1 already, please post it, I'd love to see it, maybe get inspiration for it.

wow there are some really cool ones in there. I love the power swords, and the sleeve. I'd want something like that, that is linked with a cool pattern like the sleeve is.

Surprising no one has grayskull ..... I want my tat to be cool first and formost. I hate tattoos that are like "I got this to remind me of my dog" .... what kind of psychotic emotional nutcase are you? you were going to forget? or you want to tell everyone that asks about your dog? you want that kind of attention do you? .... messed up. I think a tattoo should be like "Wow that's an nice dragon! Does it mean anything?" and the answer should be "Ya, dragons kick ass" .... that's it. Anything other than that is weird baggage no one cares about.

So I think the fighting, skulls, swords aspect of MOTU would be ideal. So it's like "WOW That's cool! Does it mean anything" ... ya, He-Man is awesome.....

some great ones here as well as some "***" ones However, I think your chosen design will depend on where you want it to be placed. On your back, I think, a Grayskull or Snake Montain front view is a perfect choice or a classic battle scene (I pers. would still go with grayskull though). On the arms or legs something like a single figure or only weapon is best suited.

And as for the "I can't draw" thing. Choose a tattoo artist with great drawing skills (you should do that regardless of which tattoo you want), show him some pics and let him draw it. All of my tats wre based upon some images I came up with and these were the inspiration for tha tattoo artist to make sth of it. Don't choose a tattoo artist who only does some "copy images" from a map! If he can't draw - choose another one!

I'm still pondering mine, but I think a collage of either good or bad guys, kinda a theme, would be cool if you have the money for something large. I'm leaning toward 200X Hordak, Faker, Stinkor, TJ, and Merman for a large piece I've been pondering for ages.

I had some free space on the inside of my right arm and thought the power sword would fit perfect.
I had nothing on my left calf so skeletor was a good start.

It took 7.5 hours to have done. I designed it.

It's He-man's cross logo in the middle of a shoulder-plate(armor). The tribal on the inside of the plate has skeletor's face on both sides at the top, and my daughter's name "Ash" as well. The tribal under neath is just adesign I put together in honor of the 200X he-man that had the tattoo.

Seeing yours made me remember that I also have He-Mans cross tattooed in the inside of my left arm.

I wanst sure which forum I should put this in so Im sorry if it doesn't belong here. Anyway, i got me a new skeletor tattoo. I have sleeves on both arms but this was by far the most painfull tattoo i have ever gotten. I plan on getting evil-lyn on the other side in a couple of months.

Thats pretty cool waiting to get my first tattoo in nov. But if that goes well I totally want a vintage Castle greyskull somewhere.

That is a sweet skelly. And I'll totally agree with you on the pain factor for that spot. I have my whole back done and the lower "meaty" spots are the worst.
The guy who does all my tattoos is also a really good friend he's tried to talk me in to a huge castle grayskull on my stomach. He's been tattooing me for almost 12 years now and my stomach is one of the last places I have no ink.

Yeah dude...it hurt like all hell. Its worth it though. As soon as I can work up the money ill be looking forward to getting evil lyn done...but won't be looking forward to the pain that comes with it!

oh...and that is my stomach/rib cage...i was pretty swollen Here is a shot from the side. It makes my wonderful beer gut look much more lovely.

Thats another reason I won't get my stomach inked "beer gut".
The only other spot that's more painfull is the armpit. I don't know how far up your sleeves go but one of mine is right in to my pit and that was a totally different type of pain

Neither of my sleeves go all the way in to the armpit. Screw that...that makes me cringe just thinking about it.
