    Unproduced Prototypes

If you were allowed to pick one unproduced prototype from either the He-Man or She-Ra line to add to your collection, which would it be and why?

i think i would want Jewelstar just because she's SO different from all the other She-ra figures in that she had more articulation and actually sort of "transformed" into a jewel. If only all the star sisters had been released

    Hey Tallstar,

That is one very tough question. However, it would probably come down to either He-Ro or Eldor. However, I really do like the look of that giant dinosaur,
The vechile that could launch either Rotar or Twistoid, Mara from "NA", the Star Sisters, glory bird, the Bubble Carriage, and the 2 ups from the new line shown at the cons in 2004.

There is just so much to love from the whole property, throughout the whole "MotU/PoP/NA" saga, imo.

    Take it easy,
    Darren

We used to have a gallery of prototypes her on He-Man.org, but unfortunately is temporary off-line. We hope to have it back soon.
But you can check most of them on he-man.org sister Italian site, MasterUnbound:

I'd have to go with Starla because she is just beautiful. Jewelstar would come in a close second just because she was so different from the other Pop dolls and had added articulation.

More-than-likely she was scheduled to be produced sometime in a later wave of figures, but since the brand started to falter, it didn't come to pass. (Her figure wasn't even officially pictured anywhere as far as I know) I've collected some prototype toys from other unrelated lines, and I can tell you that it happens a lot. Sometimes the toys/figure(s) will even be pictured early on in catalogues, but then, for whatever reason, the plug gets pulled.

With Mara, I know there's only a few existing pieces out there. All of them but one are unpainted (as far as I've heard), and many of the unpainted ones are missing pieces.

AHH! that pics WAY to small! anyone got a larger version of it, the pic, (what i can make out) looks wonderful, as with most Pop box art. Need to see the detail!! Oh and i would want Starla, she's very pretty and striking in yellow.
